The Philippine Sea is a deep almost violet blue.

It came to me in a dream once.

And now I'm here.

But I'm not there.

And isn't that where I've always been?

This drawing is pretty much done, but it's not done.

In any case, I've moved on to the next piece.

For the past two days I've been playing with the zygomatic process. It gives some drama to a drawing. And I've always thought it had the coolest name in all of human anatomy.

This morning as I lay with my wife she thought I was massaging her head. And I was. But I was also appreciating her zygomatic process.

I absolutely adore Edvard Munch but here's the deal.. If you search for Munch's art you're going to get like a million copies of "The Scream" which is a great painting sure, but there is so much more to Edvard Munch than "The Scream."

Anyway, IMHO, Edvard Munch is a wonderful artist and if you like drawing he is certainly someone well worth studying.

Reading tea leaves
