totally living for this interaction!! that's what eurovision is about, bringing people from various cultural backgrounds together all while bonding over their differences and similarities. also bojan's romanian pronunciation is on point, i'm really impressed, it's always a pleasure hearing non-native speakers speaking our language <3

how to learn a language when duolingo isn't cutting it

I know sometimes we try to learn a language through these fancy programs and games, but here are some other activities and ideas if you feel like you're stuck

Use a dictionary. Not an online one, a paper copy. The bigger the better. It helps you think of the grammar (e.g. conjugations) so it's not just available at the touch of a screen. (if you really can't find a word in the dictionary, thencheck online).

Read books and articles and look up and write down every word you don't know. Then, when you've looked up the words, read over it again, checking your new vocab list when you come across the words you don't know. You can make these words into flashcards, but you don't have to. Eventually, you'll have a pretty solid base on common words because of this.

Translate with only your dictionary and your brain. Similar to number one, but treat the translating like an exercise. If you're translating into your target language (or even into your native language) get a native speaker to check it over.

As for what you should translate, go for passages of articles and books, or songs. Preferably what you like or find interesting, but go for some slightly boring stuff as well for variety.

Drill verb conjugations with flashcards, especially irregulars.

Listen to music in the language and sing along to the lyrics. This really helps if the writing system is different to your native language's, but it also helps reading speed regardless. The more words you know, the faster you'll become, usually.

Happy Moon Day Art Witches!!! Let’s Celebrate By Working Some Lunar Art Magic. Here’s A Fun Project

Happy Moon day Art Witches!!! Let’s celebrate by working some lunar art magic. Here’s a fun project to connect with the moon and add that extra bit of magic to your paint water.

Moon Bowl

Materials:

Polymer clay

Oven

Cup/bowl

Acrylic paint

Step one: knead the clay until it’s soft and workable. Break it up into small chunks to help with the softening process.

Step two: Roll the clay out flat and in a uniform thickness, roughly ¼" thick.

Step three: Turn your cup or bowl over so that the bottom is facing up. Drape your clay pancake over the bowl and trim around the bottom edge where you want your bowl to end.

Step four: Bake your creation. Follow baking instructions on your clay package.

Step five: Take clay off the bowl before it fully cools as it will be much harder to get off once it contracts around your bowl.

Step six: After your new bowl is cooled off you can sand any parts that aren’t as smooth as you would like. Then paint your moon design on the interior of the bowl with your acrylic paint.

I’d love to see what you guys make! You can paint your moon in any phase you like. Maybe you want to paint your birth moon or make a bowl for each phase!

Body As A Temple | H. Shinsou

Entry 03 | The Virginity Chronicles

Summary: You can hear them when they whisper behind their hands. Always. And it hurts as the doubt starts to kick in. But maybe, just maybe Shinsou knows how to help.

(Or, alternatively; Hitoshi fucks for the first time)

Pairing: Hitoshi Shinsou x fem!reader

Warnings: Insecurity, lot’s of self-doubt, swearing, smut, virginity loss, body worship, praise, vaginal fingering, cunniligus, creampie, vaginal penetration, use of “kitten”, use of “muffin”, slight soft dom!Shinsou, established relationship, this is not realistic, (please, don’t take notes), all characters are aged up to 18 years old!

Note: So, I actually hate this with a burning passion. But I don’t have it in me to work on it anymore. I maybe come back in future and do some major editing but this is it for now.

That said, apologies fo the spelling and grammar errors. I’ll go back and fix them tomorrow :)

Protest art in light of the recent elections in Romania that gave way to a rise of neo-legionnaire wave filled with hatred. I made this illustration to express the desire for resistance in the face of hatred and uncertainty. Art is political (EN)

Artă de protest făcută în urma rezultatelor de la alegerile din Romania care au dat frâu liber unui val de neo-legionari plini de ură. Am făcut această ilustrație cu scopul de a exprima dorința de rezistență în fața urei și imcertitudinii. Arta este politică (RO)
