an interesting piece of lolita history has popped up for sale a couple of months ago - a nearly 40 year old cutsew with a "Pretty" (Angelic Pretty) tag, but a "Baby The Stars Shine Bright" on the care instructions tag inside.

Back then, AP was a select shop called "Pretty" that resold other brands, it wasn't until the rebrand to Angelic Pretty in 2001 where they began to produce and sell only their own clothing designs. The seller guesses that this is "probably clothes that were created before BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT became independent as a brand and was sold under the Pretty tag" - something so rare as to have both an AP/Pretty tag and BTSSB tag, in near-perfect condition; this should be donated to a museum!!

Because it ignores and downplays the violence trans men face in bathrooms it frames trans men as a threat to cis women.

Also just the whole thing of framing someone who looks like a man/masculine as being a threat is just . Weird. Non-passing trans women aren’t a threat either.

Transphobes have made it very clear they want to ban trans men from both the men’s and women’s bathrooms. They don’t want us in either.
