thinking about white rabbit being shown to be good with kids.... if not for the tragedy he'd be such a family man...........
What if the gang were paranormal investigators? Seriously like. Imagine they go into a giant, old, haunted building and Dutch is like "Alright, gang, lets split up and look for clues"
The pairings and what they'd do:
Dutch and Hosea - they don't believe in the ghosts at all, but play up the scares and "ghostly activity" in order to scam people into believing that they really are some sort of psychic ghost hunters.
Javier and John - they both wholeheartedly believe and get too scared and run away. John has cried on multiple occasions. Javier makes sure to carry holy water and a cross with him to each place they go to. One time, John got scared and screamed and his screaming scared Javier so Javier splashed the holy water on him and began beating him with the cross while screaming prayers.
Sean and Lenny - they both think it's bullshit. Lenny looks for scientific facts and explainations whereas Sean just fucks around the whole time. Sometimes he goes to find John and Javier to scare them.
Arthur and Charles - they're both skeptical but are open to the idea of ghosts. They've seen some things that they just have no other explainaton for. All in all, they're pretty chill. If they do find evidence, they don't exactly get afraid of it. They're like "wow that's cool".
Bill and Karen - (these two seem like they'd be great friends in a modern setting ngl. They give Brittany broski and Trixie mattel. Two sassy wine aunts) they also believe it's all bullshit and spend the night getting drunk, talking, sleeping, and playing pranks on the others.
Sadie - on her own because she didn't want to pair up with Micah. Sometimes she tags along with Arthur and Charles. Similar to Arthur and Charles, she's skeptical but open-minded. She keeps a gun on her in case she runs into any dangerous squatters. "Misfired" one time at Micah, but didn't get in trouble for it.
Micah - he's on his own. No one wanted to pair up with him. He tries to act tough and like he doesn't believe in ghosts, but the moment he hears a sound, he starts blasting. Due to this trigger happiness and nearly shooting other gang members on multiple occasions, on top of the fact that you can't even shoot ghosts, Dutch took Micah's guns and replaced them with water guns full of holy water.
Trelawny - he shows up every now and then. Usually tags along with Arthur and Charles. Tries to explain everything away with fact and reasoning, but the moment he hears a noise, he jumps into either Arthur or Charles's arms. (That's why he goes with them. Because they're the strongest).
Strauss is too old. His heart wouldn't be able to take it. So he doesn't go to the locations, he just finds the jobs for the rest of the gang.
Susan, Abigail, Tilly, Mary Beth, Molly, and Kieran refuse to go to any haunted locations. Kieran insists he's staying back to "protect the women", not because he's scared.
Uncle has lumbago which prohibits him from going.
Reverend Swanson would either be high or drunk and would freak out, like Javier x100, so he's not allowed to go.
Pearson doesn't bother going because he's "seen it all already" in the Navy.
