This is gonna be long. Very long

The timeline is something like this:

- The Elders (and the "King") fell to the clouds

- The people living in the clouds (the Spirits, they weren't always spirits) found them and made them their leader, 1 for each realm (2 in Valley)

- something happened

-Downfall and Everyone dies (except the Elders)

- Skykids are born

PART 1: THE CONFIRMED CANON

1. The Elders and The King

The 6 falling stars in the beginning cutscene are the Elders

The Elders have known each other before they fell. Elders are always Elders, Skykids will not grow up to be Elders (Elders, Skykids, and Spirits are different species).

"Elders are ancient. We (the devs) do not know if age or gender exists for them."

The Elders are not in their temples right now. Their cutscene takes place outside of time and space, but they affect the world (butterflies fly out of vases after prairie elder cutscene, the door opening after forest elder cutscene, etc.)

Forest and Vault Elders masks look similar because they're related (friends? Siblings?)

The power diamonds (first seen in the forest elder cutscene) is related to the downfall of the civilization.

The King exists. He plays an active role, but the role is different from the Elders. "He is not there to be saved anymore"

2. The Realms

Valley: "Golden Valley is like a downtown of the Sky kingdom. People built a huge city on top of this mountain, using boats to move between places."

"Golden Valley consisted of both rich and poor communities, centered around the theater. They all enjoyed the race that went through the entire city."

Vault: "There are many interesting props we designed for the area. Lots of valuable information was stored with the hope that it would be used by the future generations."

"Not only was this area filled with manmade structures, we also wanted to transition the level into a more magical, dreamier space. So we made it transform into a more organically magical space as you progressively move higher."

PART 2: THE FAN THEORIES (only gonna put 3, tell me if you want more of these)

1. Wasteland War Theory (Two Shields Theory)

In the area before Wasteland Temple, there are two types of shields.

The first one is a circular shield with a sun symbol on it. The second shield is a pentagon shield with a diamond symbol on it.

The battle in Wasteland could be between people who is under the King's control (people who want to use the light inside the power diamonds) and the people who rebels (people who doesn't want to use the power diamonds)

The wasteland elder is using the sun shield in his cutscene, but has the pentagon shield in the vault mural and constellation. He could have changed his side.

2. Eden Diamond Theory (Stormlock Diamond)

In the Stormlock area, there is a big red diamond shooting red light to the sky.

The theory is that the Elders and the King wanted to use the big Eden diamond to go back to the place before the fell (orbit?). Something went wrong and the Eden diamond exploded, killing the citizens (later they become a spirit) and destroying the land.

3. Megabird Mind Control Theory (a crack that refuses to be crack)

Megabird is evil and the Elders are trying to stop the bird.
