thank you Canada 🇨🇦
Hello reminder to all that today May 5th is Red Dress Day, or more formally known as National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S).
Today is always a harsh reminder that Canada is not the safe haven many in the world assume, and we still need to challenge racism, misogyny, genocide and generational trauma.
Many won't be able to attend events, but if you can, wear red today to commemorate all those who lost their lives and their futures in our broken system. Wear red today to show your solidarity to Indigenous people who continue to fight for equal treatment, reparations and visibility🌹
did you know public libraries are free and beautiful
dear autistics who
white
low support needs
not need 24/7 support
can work independently
can pay taxes
language privileged
intellectual & cognitive privileged
who can fit in societal definition of useful & productive (yes, even if hard)
when fight back against eugenics & ableism, you NEED to fight alongside, fight with, n fight for autistics who
radicalized & POC
from places of world where there critically lack autism knowledge n support
visibly autistic
higher support needs
need 24/7 care
can’t work independently or even work at all
can’t pay taxes
nonverbal, nonspeaking, minimally verbal, without functional communication, or cannot communicate via language at all even AAC
w intellectual disability or cognitive disabilities
who cannot fit into society definition of useful n productive, no matter how hard we try
because we always are & always will be primary target.
because we most vulnerable most marginalized within our, OUR community, which you belong in.
because once they finish us off you won’t be spared.
I hate that as Indigenous people, we have to slowly explain the concept of LandBack to basically every colonizer.
Like no we're not going to just throw you out, or put you in camps, or any of that shit. We just want to be able to take care of our ancestral land and be the ones in charge of protecting it.
Like I know these people were raised with a colonial mindset but after a while I just start to lose sympathy.
Like oh you're worried about having your home violently ripped out from under you?? What a fucking tragedy.
made her look more like a greek orthodox saint

Have you ever looked at a 24 hour clock and gone "too straight forward!"? Ever looked at a 12 hour clock and thought "what if we divided it again?" WELL FEAR NOT, I am pioneering the 6 hour clock; featuring the classic times we all know and love like 3pm and 7am as well as all new times such as 6aam and 8ppm! The new clock layout that solves nothing and makes everything worse!
I think there’s also a conversation to be had about how people think androgyny is waify and thin and wolf cuts and eyeliner. like some people are butch. some people have crew cuts and body hair and tits to the moon. or beards and hourglass figures.
i feel like everyone is all uncomfortable seeing people who are androgynous in a non tiktok kind of way but thats most of the androgyny i know! i know normal people who arent put together 24/7 who are androgynous in sweat pants and sundresses and first thing in the morning. there is more than one way to be androgynous and it isnt always a choice.
my ena dream bbq dream where we could carry theodora around and rotate her in our hand . and she would tell us places she wanted to go to
if your response to "diagnosed autistics in the US are having HIPPA violated to have their names put on a list by the government" is "so happy i was never diagnosed!"... then you are actually not helping in the slightest.
most of us with diagnoses were diagnosed as children, we didn't get a choice. and now we are getting put on a list, with those who are high support needs facing the most danger from said lists.
rubbing it in our faces that you won't be on said list is hurtful. its not funny. its not cute.
