The pot of hot water sat cooling from where she sanitized the needle, she’d be using the warmed water later to clean him up. She just feel’s bad that she doesn’t have any painkillers. She’d have to go nick some in the morning, but for now she offers up her bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey. No, Spider-Man most certainly did NOT interrupt her bout of depressive drinking to try and drown the loneliness. She was simply celebrating another day of successfully beating the shit out of her abusive ex, who currently is suffering three broken ribs, a busted lip, TWO black eyes and she tried to dislocate his knee but her bat may have missed. Eh, she could be clumsy sometimes. 

What she didn’t expect was an old work buddy of hers from New York to suddenly pop up on her fire escape, big gash on his back and having to help lift his heavy ass onto her ratty old couch.
