Can someone explain to me why Tumblr seems to have a near-universal but rather specific lust for grinning, skinny dudes in formal attire with a dark sense of humor and at-best-questionable morals? (okay I know Bill Cipher doesn’t quite fit the bill for “grinning” or “skinny” but most of his humanized fanart does).

My theory is that Jack Skellington is the unintentional predecessor to them all.

OKAY so this actually reminded me of something I thought about

Ignignokt and Err are literally the perfect opposites of each other

Think about it

Firstly, most obvious parts

Ignignokt is big meanwhile Err is small

Ignignokt has more sad looking eyebrows meanwhile Err's are more angry looking

Ignignokt has closed eyes while Errs are open

Ignignokt's secondary color is a darker blue while Err's is a more lighter blue

Ignignokt has two horns(?) meanwhile Err only has one

Even how they both present. their voices and tones are opposite, Ignignokt having a deeper, calmer voice and personality meanwhile Err's is high pitched, loud, ERRatic(lmao) and all around just more openly insane

Secondly, THEIR MAIN COLORS

Here’s a bit of a Tommy master post!

Tommy is definitely the least evil “villain”. He’s more or less what Benrey is in the first half of canon hlvrai; annoying and not very helpful. He still likes hanging out with Gordon and Benrey (but he won’t admit it).

Something we haven’t explored a lot yet is that throughout the story Gordon’s goal is more or less to convince the villains to stop being evil. (not necessarily because it’s the right thing to do but rather beacuse that’s probably the only way to come out of the whole ordeal alive). And Tommy is the first one to mend his ways (we’ll get to that someday I promise!)
