CLAMP SCHOOL DETECTIVES CD DRAMA FILE 2 TRACK 1

CD Drama File 2 has 5 tracks like File 1.

Track 1+2 is the story of Suoh and Nagisa's date.

Track 3 is instrumental music during the break.

Track 4+5 is a case of finding an antique, Rijichou asks the Clamp school detectives team to help her find a piece of an ancient mirror.

Because it's a CD, it's all dialogue, so based on the context, I used the dialogue to rewrite it into a story.

I just finished track 1, which is only half of Suoh and Nagisa's story, but it already very long but listening to the CD while reading, it feels very interesting.

The elementary school student council room was as busy as ever. Suoh and Akira were sorting through documents and paperwork. Akira held up a file and asked Suoh:

- What document? – Suoh glanced over while asking.

- It’s the proposal for the school administration meeting the day after tomorrow.

- I see. Alright, I’ll take a look.

While Akira was talking to Suoh, Nokoru was unusually focused on work, stamping documents while mumbling to himself:

- Alright. No issues with this one… And this one…

Suoh was carefully explaining the matter to Akira, but Akira noticed something else:

- The student council’s work has been progressing strangely smoothly lately, don’t you think? The stacks of documents haven’t been piling up like mountains these past few months.

Without looking up, Suoh continued organizing the papers and replied:

- Because there haven’t been any detective cases lately. Which is a good thing. It means the school has been peaceful. But even if the Clamp School Detectives don’t have cases to solve, we still have to handle student council work.

- So, today seems like another peaceful day, then.

Akira said cheerfully. For him, whether something happened or not didn’t really matter—he was always carefree and easygoing. But Suoh wasn’t as relaxed.

- hope so, otherwise my date with…

For a brief moment, an image flashed through Suoh’s mind—Nagisa’s adorable face, her bright, expectant eyes as she said:

“I’m really looking forward to our date, Takamura-san!”

Akira’s voice suddenly snapped Suoh back to reality. Rarely caught off guard, Suoh stammered:

- Ah, no, it’s nothing. Just a personal matter.

But Akira, sensing something interesting, refused to let it go.

- Ooooh, what’s this, senpai? Tell meee!

Suoh, flustered, tried to deny it:

- I told you, it’s nothing.

- Ahhh, I get it! You have a date with Nagisa-san, don’t you???

Suoh felt his face heating up. He really wasn’t good at dealing with persistent people like Nokoru and Akira.

- No, that’s not… I mean…

- What’s this?

Suddenly, Nokoru’s voice rang out, unintentionally saving Suoh from his predicament. Both Suoh and Akira turned their attention to their student council president.

- What is it, Kaichou?

The moment Nokoru spoke, Suoh had a bad feeling. Anxiety crept in as he thought:

“A case? No way… I checked all the documents Kaichou was supposed to handle today. There shouldn’t be anything left out. I was sure nothing was pending, which is why I planned the date today… But now…”

Of course, no matter how sharp Nokoru was, he couldn’t read Suoh’s mind. He simply focused on the matter at hand.

But before he could dwell on it further, Nokoru had already made his decision.

- We can’t waste any time! Suoh! Akira! The Clamp School Detectives are needed!

With that, Nokoru hurriedly dragged Suoh and Akira toward the penguin enclosure to begin their investigation.

- Takamura-senpai is so passionate that it’s contagious. - Akira said, feeling the excitement build.

Watching Suoh run off, Nokoru turned to Akira, who was eagerly awaiting instructions.

- Alright! Akira, let’s get moving too!

- Yes!

Having successfully deceived Nokoru and Akira, Suoh sprinted toward his meeting spot. By the time he arrived, Nagisa was already there, waiting anxiously.

- Why isn’t Takamura-san here yet?

Just as she murmured to herself, Suoh burst out from behind a bush, startling her.

- Takamura-san?

Covered in leaves and breathing heavily, Suoh bent forward, trying to catch his breath.

- I’m sorry…

Nagisa was shocked. It was rare to see Suoh so flustered and rushed since the time he had rescued her at the kindergarten fair. As he wiped sweat from his forehead and brushed off the leaves, he spoke as clearly as he could despite his exhaustion.

- I’m sorry for being late.

- It's okay… But, are you alright? You’re usually so punctual, so I was worried something had happened to you.

Her concern was completely understandable—Suoh was known for his precise, well-planned nature.

Not wanting to make her worry or feel disappointed that he let work interfere with their date, Suoh quickly thought of a response.

- Ah, well, there’s just been an overload of student council work, so I got a little caught up.

While soothing Nagisa with gentle words, Suoh was also calculating how to continue the penguin search without her noticing.

That’s why today’s unexpected mission was a real challenge for him. More specifically, it was a challenge to his perfectionist nature.

As he tried to think of a fun place to take Nagisa, he was also stuck thinking about his task—finding the missing penguin. The pressure was immense.

- These are squirrel monkeys.

- They’re so tiny! Are they baby monkeys?

- Ah, no, even as adults, they stay this small. When fully grown, they’re only about 15 cm tall and weigh around 100 grams.

- Wow, you know so much, Takamura-san! - Nagisa exclaimed in admiration.

But Suoh awkwardly admitted,

- Ah, not really… Actually, I just read that…

As he spoke, he pointed to a large sign nearby. Following his gaze, Nagisa realized what he meant.

- Oh, the sign has all the information!

She chuckled at her own naivety, and Suoh laughed along with her. As long as she was happy, he was happy.

Just then, the little monkeys cried out in haste as they approached them.

- What’s wrong? - Nagisa asked.

Suoh quickly figured it out.

- Looks like they’re hungry. Oh, there’s some bananas here. Try feeding them.

- Wait just a moment! - Nagisa gently told the monkeys before going to get some bananas.

While she was busy with feeding monkeys, Suoh found himself drawn back to his mission. He always found it a hassle dealing with the Detective Team and the bizarre tasks that came with it, but once assigned a job, he couldn’t help but take it seriously. That was just who he was.

“Still no sign of Alex. This place has water, shade, and it’s near the animal enclosures, but there’s nothing… Just how far can a penguin even go? I wonder if Kaichou's team has found it yet.”

- Takamura-san? Takamura-san!

Nagisa’s voice snapped him back to reality. Right—he was still on a date. But serious-minded Suoh was still a little out of it.

-Huh? Oh, what? What is it?

At first, Nagisa looked concerned.

- Are you okay? You seem really distracted…

Then, as if realizing something, her voice rose slightly in worry.

- Wait… are you not enjoying our date?

Suoh panicked. How could he not enjoy being with Nagisa? He hurriedly reassured her, afraid that any hesitation might make her sad.

- No way! Of course, I’m happy! Really!

Hearing his firm response, Nagisa sighed in relief.

- Oh, that’s good!

But Suoh couldn’t relax just yet.

Just then, the baby monkeys started crying out again, drawing her attention back to them. She smiled and said,

- Oh, do you want more? Wait just a moment! Oh, speaking of which… That little one was quite the eater. I wonder how it’s doing now?

Meanwhile, Nokoru had gathered some information.

- I see. Thank you very much!

- Kaichou!

He couldn’t tell Nagisa about his mission because he didn’t want her to feel bad about work interrupting their date. But he also couldn’t tell Nokoru about his date because he’d definitely be teased about it. No way was he confessing to that.

Akira sighed in frustration.

- Alex sure has been running all over the place.

Nokoru thoughtfully analyzed the situation.

- Hmm… I get that it’s excited about being outside, but this is dangerous. Every living thing explores, eats, and rests. But considering its speed and the time since it escaped, it’s probably still on the move.

- Could it be looking for something? - Suoh speculated.

Even though he was more focused on logic than intuition, he knew that no living being wandered without a purpose.

Nokoru was known for understanding girls, but Alex wasn’t a girl—or even a person. Not even his genius could predict a penguin’s thoughts.

- Maybe it’s trying to find something… or someone? Ugh, who knows. Let’s keep investigating. Suoh, Akira, continue searching for Alex.
