Imagine an animated movie with a canonically gay friends-to-enemies-to-lovers storyline ending in love confession and gay kiss, along with a canonically nonbinary main character

...oh wait... you don't have to imagine, because the movie Nimona (by the creator of she-ra) is 75% complete in production. The problem? IT JUST GOT CANCELLED!

Disney shut down Blue Sky Studios, which was producing the movie, so our best hope is that it gets picked up by another production company.

cultural posturing elves with superiority complexes are way out, now we’re doing elves who literally cannot stop adopting other species and imparting elvish wisdom on them

because elves have a very low fertility rate to counterbalance their remarkable longevity, to the point that childbearing elves are lucky if they’re able to get pregnant, say, more than twice a century

but some elves just want to Nurture and they’ve noticed that adoption is a pretty sick deal, and that their human neighbors in particular always seem to have a veritable cornucopia of orphans sitting around in need of shelter and food and loving guidance and someone to teach them the finer points of communing with nature. 

elves reaching out to their human neighbors nervously for guidance because their beautiful adopted human son has decided he wants to get married but he’s only 25, he’s only completed one apprenticeship, he’s so young, is that really normal? are they sure? are they sure sure?

a 400 year old elf eagerly introducing her friends to her younger siblings: a 100 year old elf, 55 year old human, 27 year old tiefling, and 12 year old human. 

elf parents spending centuries proudly maintaining large and convoluted family trees where some of their great grand-kids are older than their most recently adopted children. elves highly prizing sprawling systems of family that span species and culture and share everything they can with each other. 

just to be clear, the fact that music was nominated for a golden globe is absolutely disgusting. every single (adult) involved in that gross, ableist movie should be sickened by themselves.

for those of you who don't know, music (2021) is a movie being directed by sia about a nonverable autistic girl. not only does it not include any actually autistic people in the movie itself but it also only took advice from autism speaks which is looked at as a hate group by the majority of the autistic community. leaked scenes have also shown the movie glorifying prone restraints which are incredibly dangerous and have resulted in major injuries and even death to disabled people as recently as last year.

autistic people just like me have been incredibly outspoken about how harmful this movie is but the allistic have been mostly silent. we are already seeing reviews calling this movie 'inspiring' and important' and it's absolutely horrific! we need your help calling this out. please stand with us and call out this disgusting display of disrespect to autistic folks.

i haven't posted an original post in a while but im kinda in a financial pickle and ive been trying to move out for months, but also I haven't worked in a few weeks bc we had a covid scare and my phone bill is due soon.

also ive gotten tired of the game and would rather just take the characters and create a better story than what the devs have given us. i DO have lore ive been working on that makes much more sense than whatever the hell solmare has been pushing and retconning, and i have so many ideas i could run with and share but that'd take concentration i don't have dkdnjdjd

but anyway. if you guys would like to help out you can send me a coffee and for like. $15 i can do a rough bust sketch for you! I mainly will do Obey Me, Genshin Impact, and OCs if you provide me with references, but if you give me a character from somewhere else just tell me the full name and where they're from. It’s weird how like, when this pandemic started there was all this talk about a vaccine and it taking so much time to produce, test, and manufacture once it had been approved. but then the medical community worldwide worked like never before develop a vaccine to a new, never before seen virus, and people are refusing to take it because they think it was rushed, despite hundreds upon hundreds of clinical trials with a very, very minuscule amount of people suffering from side effects of the vaccine. Most of the people worried about that vaccine have never had a negative experience with the vaccine before in their lives, yet there’s so much doubt around the vaccine and trust in it that it’s going to be harmful when there’s like, no evidence to support any of that.

They are talking about a second Krystallnacht, let us be clear about this. For the week of J20, be careful, support your locals, and be armed and ready to dip.
