I don't think I actually cried during any of the previous quests. Archon or otherwise.
But the whole sequence in Caribert's world? Man, that shit fucking broke me.
Everything was just so damn sad.
Caribert's accepting his end to help the hilichurls. The twin carefully reaching out, almost hesitant to believe they're other half is there with them, only to be disappointed.
Them talking about the future, being told that in the end, the abyss twin is too ashamed to show themselves to their sibling?
And in the end, they can't even remember their reunion and feel like they "lost something".
Damn, bro. And then you hit us with the photo.
How the hell am I supposed to go on with playing the funny anime gacha game after you dropped lore bombs and a metric fuckton of emotional damage on me???
fyi for those in Phoenix Arizona: stay away from Target because the Phoenix Police still won't arrest this dude despite it being illegal to declare intention of violence like this š
Ao3 being down was not on today's bingo list
Zhongli had one mfckin line in the archon quest and still managed to make me rewatch it three times.
The power this man has over me is just ridiculous
I will obviously try this. for science reasons.

Thinking about the "Exactly!" scene and the "your exactly isn't my exactly" and how that perfectly translated to the ep. 6 ending and their separate ideas of how to deal with the situation, how to achieve happiness.
"I donāt think he has any friends"
Crowley's "exactly" is pointing out how bad Gabriel used to be, how he's mean and how he doesn't have any friends - only allies and enemies and either way he is trouble for him and Aziraphale. How they should get him as far away from them as possible, get themselves as far away from him as possible.
Aziraphale's "exactly" means Gabriel's alone and vornelable and in need of a friend. He doesn't have anyone to take care of him, to help him. He's in need of help, of guidence. Aziraphale is hoping this is a chance to make Gabriel a good person. That helping him is the good, right thing to do.
And they have to straighten that out, that they donāt mean the same thing.
And it's so similar when it comes to their approach to finding happiness together at the end of the season
Crowley's way is to run away, get as far as they can from heaven and hell. Carve their own piece of space far away from anybody who could disturb them and any trouble that could come and find them.
But Aziraphale's way is to try and change heaven for the better, it's to give a helping hand and believe that with enough good will and effort they can make it not be their enemy but their friend. Its to work with what is and prevent trouble that could come and disturb them from ever occuring in the first place. Its solving everyones problems just so they could protect the little piece of space they carved out for themselves (Earth).
The thing is - the "exactly" scene is them understanding each other on some level: They both are aware the other is on the same page - we need to deal with this Gabriel situation. They just can't agree about how to deal with it.
Its different when it comes to the breakup scene.
They aren't aware they are on the same page here when it comes to what they are dealing with. There's huge miscommunication.
Because Crowley doesn't understand that Aziraphale is thinking of their happiness together. Aziraphale doesn't communicate to him well that he wants to change heaven for Crowley, for them. Maybe he is deluding himself that he doesn't, that he wants to make heaven better cause that's the "right thing to do" in his eyes.
And so while in the "exactly" scene Crowley tries to convince his way of getting to deal with Gabriel is the right way, in the breakup scene he is not only trying to convince Aziraphale his idea of running away together is the right choice.
He is trying to tell him "this is what we are talking about here - our happiness together, our love"
And he's not certain Aziraphale is hearing him and so he tries and he tries and-
He kisses him
Surely that is direct enough, right? Surely he understands now?
And when Aziraphale responds with "I forgive you" what Crowley hears is "no, this is not what we're talking about here. There is no us in that sense"
But that is not at all what Aziraphale is saying. He's saying "you are making a mistake not choosing to deal with the problem my way".
He believes they are in the same situation they were in the "exactly" scene - that they are arguing about the actions to take to reach their goal of "happy together". He's so hung up on it he doesn't realize Crowley thinks he's not thinking of the same goal.
To Aziraphale "I forgive you" means "you're making a mistake but I love you and I'll be here for you when you come to your senses"
To Crowley "I forgive you" means "we're not on the same page, I don't love you like that, but we can forget all about it, go remake heaven & be friends".
And so Crowley says "don't bother". He doesn't want what he thinks Aziraphale wants. He's done.
I need to rant about a few things from Bad Batch so
I'm writing this based on memories right after my first watch because my emotions are overwhelming me and I need to rant about them to strangers on the Internet. They're also not in any chronological or logical order.
First off, Echo telling Emerie that he knew the Zillo was Omegas doing? Because he would have done the same?
Immaculate. Fives would be proud to see his brother still being up to dangerous shit. And even passing it along to his little sister/daughter.
On the same note, the Zillo breaks out and the boys outside immediately know it's not coincidence because of course it would be one of their genius madlads.
Crosshair: Was that Echo or Omega.
Wrecker and Hunter without missing a beat: Omega
Because of course it was her.
Then Crosshair saying Clone Force 99 died with Tech had me crying buckets. Baby really has lost all feeling of self worth and needs time to heal on Pabu. Poor boy. Probably feels hella responsible for his death, too, because he wasn't there to help them.
Next up, Hemlock's operatives? You cannot tell me that they're not reminiscent of the Clone Force 99 we saw in Clone Wars. Using debris as a shield, like the first plan we see them do? One fighting with knives, like Hunter? One having a rifle, like Crosshair? Hemlock saw the boys and said: damn I want that as well.
It also explains why many people (me included) hoped for the reveal of Tech being CX-2. They're meant to seem like the Batch.
Also I really hoped Scorch would somehow survive this, just because I'm currently replaying Commando and feel for my poor boy.
Then I think a lot of us remember the meme with the explosion? Absolutely adore, that it was Nala Se blowing the research and Rampart to pieces.
Don't get me wrong, Rampart was a great addition to the recent episodes and his screams had me dying with laughter, but he was an evil piece of shit till the end. He died as a selfish evil Empire guy instead of dying for redemption (like there is a tendency in Star Wars) or getting to live on without any change. He stayed an asshole, even if he was kinda funny in the end.
Now to get into some specifics about the ending and the fate for the boys.
The cut to black when one of the operatives threatened Crosshairs hand? I nearly shat myself, holy hell. What the actual fuck.
The constant pan to Wrecker being injured? I was fully expecting him to sacrifice himself in the end, very glad he didn't.
The scene in the rain on the bridge? Immaculate. The perfect climax to the show. Perfection.
Hemlock's threat being empty, because he needs Omega.
Crosshair still worried because, even if Hemlock won't shoot Omega, his trauma won't just go away and he cannot risk Omega getting hurt.
Omega realising Crosshairs struggle and helping out.
Hunter realising that Omega realised.
Crosshair getting the first hug.
And then we see them leave. Safely. Because it's over. Their fight is over. Bad Batch is over.
Seeing all the clones and children happy on Pabu was the kind of ending the show deserved.
I'd go so far as to call it the ending the show needed. Because the Bad Batch would never have stopped fighting, if there was still danger threatening one of their members. Omega wouldn't have stopped fighting if she had lost another one of her brothers or hadn't been able to free the other clones.
The only way for them to find peace in that world, was a happy end. And I think that's beautiful.
In fact, this leads right into my final thoughts on this. Omega leaving to fight for the rebellion is very on brand for her selfless nature. It's also why this has to happen in the future. The Bad Batch had done their duty. They had fought enough battles for their lifetime, which is why we don't see them joining the rebellion with her. Why it has to happen, when Omega is ready to leave on her own.
Then of course, I cried buckets for Tech's glasses on the dashboard. Because her following in his footsteps and becoming a pilot makes this story come full circle.
Sidenote, I'm pretty sure her hairstyle is, at the very least, inspired by Phee. And her flying is probably closer to Phee than Tech as well, because she is still a chaos child.
Perhaps we'll see more shows from this time. We're certainly still lacking important info.
How does Wolffe join his brothers?
Why are Gregor, Wolffe and Rex "retired" in Rebels?
What happens to Echo?
I imagine, Filoni will give us a Clone Rebellion show (possibly with a sadder ending than Bad Batch) to answer these questions.
Do I have a closing thought? Yes.
As nice as the final scene was, we were absolutely robbed of older Crosshair and Wrecker. ROBBED I SAY.
Iām curious as to where you all stand
Reblog for demographics!
Enjou is an s tier husbando fight me
hi, i feel guilty for posting again but i really need help.
a couple months ago i got into a head on collision with a speeding driver and it totaled my car and left me injured and in debt. the insurance company ruled in the other persons favor since the police gave me a citation for not yielding (even though i did) and they let the other person off for speeding since it was rush hour friday. i have chronic back pain now and i owe the state an amount of money they refuse to tell me for damage to a crosswalk signal the other car did when they bounced off me
i have no money right now at all since i canāt work, have no mode of transportation, and have no income. i have my medication for this month but i know i wonāt have money to refill it next month. i completely gave up on my HRT because of this and it makes me extremely dysphoric
im so anxious every single day because of food. sometimes i just canāt help myself from having breakdowns and crying because i just donāt ever feel alert or safe. i spend most of the day sleeping, partially because of depression but mostly just because iām physically exhausted. iāve lost a significant amount of weight this month and no matter how hard i try to stretch the money i have it just isnāt enough to be able to eat consistently every day.
if anyone could give me any amount, even a couple dollars, iād be extremely grateful. if you canāt donate, PLEASE, PLEASE reblog this. iām really desperate right now and i feel like iām not going to be able to make it out of this without help.
if you need any sort of proof or confirmation that iām telling the truth feel free to message me. in general, please feel free to message me- iām honestly feeling really alone right now and some encouraging words would be really nice.
