this sport's standards are actually incomprehensible my god.
mick has 43 race starts, he's 23. haas considers that he's had his chance and honestly, if they'd decided to sign anyone from the junior formulas (which is a Massive pool of unused talent) then i'd get it.
but hulkenberg's 35 with 181 race starts and not a single podium. i understand that haas sees that he'll get them midfield points at best but jesus christ how long is this man going to stay in one of 20 seats when talented guys ten years his juniors have to settle for test and reserve driver roles
from wankers to legends back to wankers in under seven days. all in a week’s work for haas f1 team.
guenther steiner, the first page of my burn book will be dedicated to u.
#imma bring the popcorn #netflix would eat this shit up
Oh to be a fly on the wall in the Ferrari post-race meeting…
NO TRULY!!! watching the entire filipino f1 fan community (including me) freak out was so cute but also seeing the rest of the world (or at least the accounts i follow or come across) celebrate it as well is so heart warming ❤️🩹 bianca deserves nothing but the best and all the support!!
bianca bustamante getting signed by mclaren in their driver development programme is, dare i say, monumental for philippine motorsport. bianca is from a country that doesn't have an accessible racing facility. i can count one race track and two karting tracks off the top of my head. getting funding to be in motorsport here is a massive pain in the ass, it's virtually impossible for a filipino to break through international motorsport. the furthest a filipino has reached in single seater racing is gp3 with marlon stockinger in the early 2010s.
bianca is the philippines' closest hope to get to f1. she is doing the unthinkable, the impossible. bianca bustamante is breaking barriers for philippine motorsport. she is the first woman to score a win in a FIA sanctioned single seater event, first since marlon stockinger winning in monaco in 2012.
when she said in her introductory video from mclaren that she is a child of an overseas filipino worker—a working class citizen who has to leave the philippines for opportunities abroad that offer higher wages because no job in the philippines can offer you a salary that is livable—that is very powerful. it is striking and only adds weight to why this signing is very important to us. she's now in the radar of f1 teams, hopefully filipinos also take notice.
i'm so proud of bianca and i'm so looking forward to her carrying the flag for this country in southeast asia with a population of 109 million. god i hope she thrives so badly.

A separate post just to appreciate Mick’s eyes because it deserves the recognition.
What she says: yay, Ollie‘s got a seat! He deserves that!
What she means: God, I hope Haas learned, I hope they do better, I hope he‘s not another Mick or Nyck, I hope this is good for him, I hope someone announces Liam soon, I hope Merc doesn’t announce Kimi, I hope Ollie will be treated well, I hope they keep Kevin and Kevin can help him adjust, I hope this was a good choice, I hope he‘s not just gonna be axed soon
Team Germany didn’t make it to the finals but I’m so proud of them (especially Mick :(( he’s so good on snow) + seeing them racing together healed the wound the 2022 season gave me 🥺❤️🩹
