i dont talk anymore. i dont want to. i have nothing to say. i have nothing to contribute to a conversation. words escape me and i dont care that they do. i can go entire days without muttering a word. i just want to be left alone, now.

No ordinary love, Sade, 1992.

Brown is a natural color that evokes a sense of strength and reliability. It’s often seen as solid, much like the earth, and it’s a color often associated with resilience, dependability, security, and safety. Brown can also create feelings of loneliness, sadness, and isolation.

Janet Jackson’s makeup for “What’s It Gonna Be?” was done by Mathu Andersen, who also did the makeup for TLC’s “No Scrubs” video and worked extensively with RuPaul. Jackson was styled by Wayne Scot Lukas and her hair was done by Janet Zeitoun.
Everyone knows that TLC’s 1999 “No Scrubs” video was heavily inspired by Michael and Janet Jackson’s intergalactic clip for “Scream”.
Mathu Andersen did TLC’s makeup for the latter, and then did Janet’s that same year. Interesting stuff~~
Btw, Janet’s makeup in “Scream” was done by Kevyn Aucoin.
Anyways, famous Black costume designer/stylist June Ambrose styled Busta Rhymes for the “What’s It Gonna Be” video. She also did “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems”, “The Rain”, Jay-Z’s looks in “Apeshit”, and Missy Elliott’s Marie Claire spread that dropped last week!
Moral of the story is: the relationship between the past, present and future is traceable and your faves inspire your faves!
