Ozpin's expression right here always gets me.

You can just see the absolute horror he feels at Salem's response to his outburst. The terror that she was right and she was about to make him watch her destroy Atlas. But you can also see how uncomfortable he feels being so close to her. Like, he even tries to back away, which obviously doesn't work.

CRWBY just absolutely excels at facial expressions and body language.

I think like Mercury doesn't feel like he can do better than this He's just like "Well here I'm useful and appreciated for that at least" So like... He gets a pass for doing his best ? xD

Even if his best is just leaning into the only thing he was taught, but also caring about Emerald ? He's trying okay I hope Oscar can hand him out a redemption arc in Vacuo fkqfhqk
