Trying a new technique.

Inspired by Cosmo Sheldrake’s “The Fly”

For Illustration class we had to illustrate the cover or a page from a classic novel.

I chose ““A Christmas Carol”. Here’s the scene where Scrooge puts the cap on the Spirit of Christmas Past.

Sketch of a character I’ve been thinking about lately.

I promised an extra art this week, so here it is. A traditional sketch of a dragon on black paper. Well, maybe more of an Amphithere because no legs. Anyway, my new sketchbook has some black paper which means I can try some white-on-black drawings like this!

Hey guys, I’m sorry but I don’t have a piece ready for this week, and there’s no excuse for it besides laziness. I can think of lots of contributing factors, but none of them really amount to anything. I’ve been through some truly tough times and still managed to post on time. But for some reason, not this week. So here, have a consolation Gumby.

I was giving a speech on how to sculpt things and I needed an example that I could make quickly so this happened. 

To make up for this, I’ll do my best to get an extra early post to you, so be on the lookout!

Skullcrusher Mountain is finally completed! It took about three days longer than I thought it would, but it’s done and here it is!

This project really made me realize how much I still have to learn about making comics, and I feel like I learned a lot! Expect more comics from me in the near future, I have lots of ideas and lots of techniques I want to try!

Oh god I literally just finished this just now.😭the homework situation is brutal.

I usually don’t get political here at NerdWingArts (though I might a little at nerdwingblogs ). However, we made political cartoons in Illustration class, and I’m really pleased how this one came out!

Plus I’m working on something really special and needed some extra time. Perhaps you’ll get an early post next week?😉

So! Working on some world building for my story idea “The Miracle Effect” so I made this map of one of the main locations, a little city-state called a Buena Gente.

A little bit about this place, it’s a magical post-apocalyptic civilization, home to both humans and an undead skeleton race. In fact, it’s the only known place where living and undead people live together! However, this comes with some drawbacks. due to their threatening appearance, the undead spark volence in people from other cultures. To protect themselves, the Buena Gentians have erected an invisibility field around thier lands. If anyone exits the field, they must do so in disguise. And this worked out very well, until the magic began to weaken...

My characters. As trolls. I didn’t think this could Happen.

I don’t really care for Homestuck. Tried it, wasn’t for me.

But I just played Hiveswap Act 1

Good stuff.

I actually just learned a bunch of new stuff about trolls right after I drew this so I might redesign them at some point.

Is it finished? No. Am I going to work on it some more? Also no.

Ain’t no body got time for that.

I feel like it’s kind of cheating to post the same piece twice, so I might post a trashy doodle too. We’ll see.

“Deified Self”

Woot! It’s my drawing final, and, in my personal opinion, the best self portrait I’ve ever done! It feels good to be happy about a piece!

Found some old drawings from when I was a kid, thought I’d try to re-do one real quick.

This was fun, wish I had more time to do some more. Maybe another day.
