you’re hearing it more and more
I’m working on some Halloween merch for writers and need your feedback, amigos!
The designs will feature text and an illustration. Currently I have:
I’m a writer and in my story you might already be dead
I trap human souls inside books for fun
I am not sure what you amigos would like to see, so all feedback/suggestions welcome!
A game that is marketed as your standard fishing game and for the first 20 minutes or so you catch normal fish like bluegill and bass and what have you. But the further you go into the lake you start to catch fish with mutations and it gets more and more intense until you’re pulling in Eldritch horror monsters and sometimes severed human limbs. You realize you don’t recall how you got to this lake in the first place and the objective becomes to find your way back to shore. You have no real weapons but you can throw the creatures you’ve caught far away from the boat as a means to distract whatever is underneath you, bumping into the boat sometimes. Additional items for the game.
A fishing pole with a radar that starts out with just beeps but later includes noises with hidden messages.
A GPS that displays texts and story elements.
You meet other boaters, all from various backgrounds, countries, and time periods. Some are friendly, others want to sacrifice you to the lake monsters.
You can also take the route of sacrificing others to the lake monster.
Or you can assemble a party and work to keep them safe.
The more fucked up looking the fish you catch, the closer you’re getting to a boss fight, which is usually running from something you can only see part of in the water.
????
And that’s my game idea.
Just to be absolutely clear, I don’t agree with real person shipping, especially in public spaces like social media. Objectifying other people’s relationships is not cool and can do real damage to real people.
As a fan it can be easy to view celebrities and influencers as an abstract concept and feel that the things we do in fan spaces don’t affect them, but that’s really the farthest thing from the truth. Shipping real people can negatively affect people with millions of fans, let alone when people ship those in their more direct social circles like friends or teachers.
It’s just really not a good idea, and I want rpf shippers to know that I don’t hate them and it’s really not personal, but I just think that shipping real people is very very different from shipping fictional characters as the former can actively hurt the real lives of others in so many ways. I think it’s just best to refrain from real person shipping, period.

hey, don't cry. one cup heavy whipping cream, two tablespoons granulated sugar, three tablespoons cocoa powder and whisk until stiff peaks form for three ingredient chocolate mousse, okay?
Finally, thank you! There’s also the fact that she looks almost EXACTLY LIKE AANG!! She has the same round face shape and big grey eyes. It’s always weird to me how you don’t see more people making that comparison, because they look exactly like each other.
What's your opinion on the hc that says Ty Lee descends from airbenders ? (her style of fighting is interestingly close to airbending)
it makes sense, and i understand the theory, but i think this is still kinda surface-level analysis when it comes to unpacking ty lee’s inner complexity. assuming ty lee is descended from airbenders adds a dimension to her character because it means that she is serving a direct descendant of the man who wiped out her people and intends to complete that mission, which would give her reason to resent azula even more than she already does. but since I already believe that she resents azula plenty, I feel like there are better reasons in the text that point to understanding why that is. like, i’m definitely not averse to this idea, she does look far more like aang than she does any of the fire nation nobility, and she definitely has some airbender moves, but I don’t know how much this enriches her character since we don’t have that much context about her family. I wish we did tho; I feel like even the little we do know of her background is enlightening.
