Today’s the day!! Thank you all for your patience. I’m beyond excited to share the first demo of No Haven in Hallow Cove!

Please keep in mind that this is very much still a first draft, and subject to change. I welcome and appreciate any feedback you can offer. Currently I have two options for feedback: comments on the itchio page and messages here.  I can’t promise that suggestions will be implemented but I can promise that they will be read, appreciated, and considered. If you see any coding issues like bugs or inconsistencies, please either screenshot or send me the direct text so I can fix it.

The romance system in particular I would love feedback on. Romance styles are so unique to the individual, and I want to make sure I’m incorporating other peoples experiences as well as my own. If there are dialogue options you would have wanted, changes in inner thoughts, alternatives to the current romance options, please let me know! Thank you in advance.

All they can find is a single scabiosa flower in full bloom left at the crime scene.

Of course, strange as the surge of dead is, the markings on the bodies that come to you that you need to ‘clean’ are bizarre in its own right. Some of these markings don’t look like your normal animal bite or simple ‘blade-to-flesh’ contact. It’s almost monstrous, but there’s no such thing as monsters…

Right?

Play as a male, female, or nonbinary mortician who is dragged into a series of murders in the city of Aevum.

Be dragged into the investigation by strangers who seem far more invested in this than the local police force. Not to mention, something about them seem… Strange.

Piece together the mystery of what is going on in the city, attempting to put together the pattern and understand what the motive of the killer is, if there even is one.

Fall in love, or don’t. The choice is yours as strangely enough, people seem drawn to you despite your efforts and attempt to keep people out of your life. Make friends or enemies, find those to who are worthy to trust, or misplace your trust elsewhere.

Will you catch the killer, or will the killer catch you?

It was among a thousand other comments— you had only seen it briefly in passing— but you couldn’t help the chill that wracked your spine because of it. Even through the screen you could feel the malicious air exuding from those words. The omniscient air clogging your lungs as you try to fight through the emotions that rise because of the message.

You’re able to shake it off after a few moments— people on the internet are weird after all— and get back to doing your daily routine. Your attention shifting to other things; causing the message to be forgotten.

Maybe he's some foreigner friend visiting, or maybe something more sinister is afoot.
