I might make a bigger post about this later, but remember that whole bit in episode 14 of the second chapter where David was lying about the BDA thing, and then said that there was no way to verify whether he was lying or not? Yeah, well, Teruko, Whit, and Eden could verify whether he was lying or not (though they didn't realize it), and it's all because of the elevator.

If Teruko, Whit, and Eden were able to verify that the elevator was immediately available when they went to search for Arei on the second floor, then there's no way that David is telling the truth.

Also when the cast asked why David did what he did in Episode 12, he literally says he didn't look at the crime scene.

it's honestly really stupid that the internet was all "the acolyte is a shitshow" but in reality it's not actually that bad. it needs work, sure, but it's not a shitty show objectively. it's just mid, honestly

The people who say Watari's motives and plan in CH4 mischaracterized her are so loud and wrong I seriously can't fathom how a good portion of the fanbase (from my understanding) are saying this is the case. Initially I wrote a whole ass essay on why this isn't the case and how personally her representation about people going through depression / suicidal thoughts was handled very realistically, but that wasn't worth my energy so TLDR:

Just because Nishi acted "naïve" and "carefree" doesn't equal that she wasn't going through her internal battles. There's more to digest from her character rather than what's obviously spoonfed to you on the videos. Her interview alone shows the amount of work she had to go through in her life (also worth to add the post CH3 finale & confession game) that put her under so much stress. ain't nobody talkin about how charles's secret isn't worth killing for. like, it's the ONLY ONE. even eden's secret is worth killing over, and hers is the most tame. why would charles kill because of the motive? it's practically pointless to kill over someone who's already dead, over someone he doesn't even remember.
