Okay um...... three questions because I've been thinking about this for like 30 minutes now.
Why are Teruko and Xander the only two cast members whose custom weapons are actual weapons, rather than objects that can be used as weapons? And the fact that their weapons are (kinda) opposite of each other is also interesting.
Why is Xander the only cast member with a fake weapon? Does that indicate that he's the traitor?
I feel like these things are important but I'm not sure why.

xander is indeed not a good boy (still love him anyway)
hello again drdt community
spoilers for chapter 1
I love Eva so, so much, but she deserved ALL that smoke (pun unintended). She claims she was forced to kill, but in reality, she set herself up. Also, not only did she kill Wolfgang, but she drugged him (which caused him to hallucinate) and made Diana watch him suffer/die. She also manipulated Damon into thinking that Wolfgang had it out for them, when in reality, he was just wary of them both, which was justified.
Yeah I love Wolfgang and I'm still salty about his death. I love Eva too, but girl you did NOT deserve to live after what you did.
Anyway, hats off to the Project: Eden's Garden team for an excellent chapter 1. Dare I say 10/10.
spoilers ahead
why david isn't in here, idk. but this was so funnnn!!!
The initial take was indeed bad, mainly because they backed up their claim very poorly. This take is much better, so thanks anon for elaborating. I agree with most of the stuff here, but I wanna add my tidbits too.
I said this under the initial post, and I'm gonna say it again. The claim that Project: Eden's Garden got popular because of the prologue doesn't make sense, since this fangan was popular before that. The announcement trailer got 2 million views, but apparently some people forgot about that. Did the writers use ships to make the game more popular? Yes, which isn't neccessarily a bad thing. But, let's not act like that initial popularity came from only shipping, because it didn't.
We gotta see what the writers are gonna do with these ships, but we as a fandom need to stop acting like these ships are canon. Also, not every ship is romantic. In my opinion, a lot of the ships in this fangan are platonic, but that's just me.
As much as I enjoy the shipping, the writers and the fandom especially can lay off the ships a bit. It would honestly make the fandom more bearable.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents :)
I think the people who dogpiled on the anon talking about PJ:EG ship popularity didn't stop to understand what they were trying to say and just jumped in to attack the opinion. PJ:EG got popular from the prologue, which did establish some characters as pairs and ships. Not to mention the official art. I was baffled by ppl thinking ships don't affect popularity. When you have a ship as popular as Kaimon, fans will make art, write fanfics, talk about it online on various social media, all of which increase PJ:EG's popularity. Yeah sure it's popular because of yk the game but ships have a MAJOR role in its popularity too. If there are people making ship tier lists then of course popularity comes from ships. Almost everyone appreciates the romance genre and it's a popular genre--adding it to PJ:EG will bring in the people who wanna see some romance (even I do if done well). The reason fangan ships will always feel just a little bit forced (at the very least) is because of the long time btwn chapters. People will find a pairing as a potential ship and blow it up as a couple. In the time btwn chapters, the ship will gain popularity and become even more beloved, yet the characters in the fangan haven't had any real interactions to market them as a ship. This is why PJ:EG ships are both forced and give the game a ton of popularity. All Ulysses and Wenona have done is share a room (maybe they did interact and I forgot) yet Ulynona is a massive ship and the PJ:EG team reinforces it through official art and fanfic readings by the VAs. Kaimon is like this except it is basically canon and to me is weird because Damon...drops these weird innuendos towards Kai that felt a bit out of character. Like he has this deep relationship with Eva (I don't ship Evamon either though) but with Kai I don't see that complexity. This is like PJ:EG's #1 ship and it will continue to blow up for a whole year to the point where probably the first things you hear about PJ:EG as a new fan are "wolfgang and eva die ch1" and "kaimon". This is ultimately somewhat of a problem because of everyone attacking ships in the fandom (just like I'll be dogged on for this post, 100%) and because right now, characters like Kai don't exist outside of their ships. I mean it's pretty clear many people see Kai as just Damon's ship material and look past the tidbits of his character we were given. Yes there are people who do care about Kai as his own character. Now imagine this same Kaimon problem but with every pairing that was introduced. I just feel like when they write Ch2, they'd go in and purposely add more of the weird flirty dialogue just to fuel the ships. This is almost a guarantee since after a year of waiting, they'd be "disappointing" half the fandom if no ship interactions happen. PJ:EG ships right now is a negative quality because of this, just...everything that they cause. This shipping problem is even worse than actual DR because of the reasons I have mentioned (not that DR is a good example either).
