Luke: You must choose only one , the Armour or the Lightsaber
Grogu: Both. Both is good
DinLuke divorce era? I’ve survived Civil War (barely) I can handle this until they meet and finally have darksaber training because Hippo is hopeful 😂😂
Din: Why can’t I see him?
Luke: Attachment is bad for a Jedi
Din: I want to divorce you
Luke: Wait… does that mean… you want to marry me first?
Din: If you’ll have me
I love Din. I love Grogu. I love Luke. I love Ahsoka. I love Cobb. They're freaking amazing and beautiful and just 😌👌
But eyo I also really love Boba and Fennec, please, it has his name in the show let him innnnnn
TBOBF 1x05 to 1x06 transition
Guys I want the Star War to queerbait me again. I want them to gaslight me into believing that Luke Skywalker is gay so for a moment I feel joy. I want these bitches to queerbait my lesbian ass so hard into believing Disney would put gay people as a lead in their movies. Give me eye sex, give me making “oh go off to your little boyfriend.” Comments from villains, give me them somehow making obscure queer refrances in space, give me the god forsaken bonding moments and superhell. And only for them to be like actually nope- no homo. I want to feel like I was hate crimed by momentary hope.
GODAMMIT LUKE YOU CAN'T MAKE THE CHILD CHOOSE BETWEEN DAD AND MOM THAT'S CHILD CRUELTY YOU MTRFCKINTWINK
I was talking with my dad about TBOBF, who is a SW fan since, idk, the beginning; about theories and everything... And he literally say, at some point: "Yeah, Mando is gonna show up in front of Luke and say: 'Where is OUR baby?' ... And i laugh my ass off because, yeah, i mentioned the Dinluke ship to him as a 'joke' like months ago and, he was like "Ugh, no". But now, i think he is into the Dinluke hell with me. Later, i make jokes about the ship and he was laughing and being more possitive about it.
This just let me with one thing: If i achieved to change the mind of an old SW dad fan (and a latino dad, i must add), then everything is possible! Even the Dinluke itself! Or at least, moments.
Arriba la esperanza, abuelita! (?)
Si Sebastian Stan llega a aparecer algún día como Luke, me lo pondré de perfil en absolutamente todas mis redes sociales.
The Cain Instinct
I think I finally understand the premise of The Book of Boba Fett. We all assumed this was a show about Boba (for obvious reasons), but I don’t think that’s what this story is meant to be.
This is a story about the people of Tatooine.
Every episode we are learning more about different people and subcultures. We are seeing slices of life from those who live on this planet.
The Tuskens, the biker gangs, Camie and Laze, Garsa Fwip and the cantina people, the Mayor and his staff, the Pykes, the business owners like Lortha Peel and Peli Motto, the Mods, the Hutts, the crime families, the mercenaries like Fennec Shand/Black Krrsantan/Din Djarin.
This show is about them. Each chapter is written about them.
We are seeing the people of Tatooine from the perspective of Boba Fett, a man left to die on this planet, but was reborn and given a second chance. Who wants to give the people of Tatooine the second chance he was given.
It’s The Book of Boba Fett not because he is the main character, but because he is the author. He is observing the people and giving them a voice. He is writing their story.
This story is not about Boba Fett, but it is his story.
"why doesn't boba even show up in his own show which is already limited to 7 chapters" and "god i am in awe of din djarin and feel like a wife whose husband is returning from war" are two statements that can co exist
Inspo. From my fave show Psych
What? Oh nothing. Just thinking about how Disney could cast Sebastian Stan for season 3 of The Mandalorian and write a decent if not beautiful love story between Luke and Din but they won’t because Disney doesn’t do that kind of thing.
THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT (2022–) A NEW HOPE (1977)
DinLuke shippers how are you doing????
the fact there's a high chance of Luke teaching Din how to wield the Darksaber... we manifested this into our reality
im obsessed w din's ship being one made for luke's mother and the one luke's dad used to pilot. i KNOW anakin was thriving in force heaven screaming THATS MY SON IN LAW to obi-wan.
i'm dying din's slowly inserting himself into the Main Character Family without being aware, before knowing he'll be married to keep shared custody of grogu and won't have any idea how he ended up in that situation
Me, before tbobf 01x05: We’re really going to be able to tell the difference between Dinluke fanfics written before this episode and after this episode based on what we’ll learn happened to Din post s2.
Me, after tbobf 01x05: O-or… not???
The more i think about tbobf s01e05 the less real it feels, i feel like someone is gonna shake me any moment and i'll wake up from my wet fanfic dream.
Like, Din Djarin is really out there being a silent force of defiance, going against tradition, against religion, against the supposed concept of "original family", against everything he knows because he knows one simple thing above all these concepts: he knows that kindness by choice is the most powerful force in the galaxy, and grogu taught him that. So he's losing everything he has to hold unto that connection.
Naming things in The Mandalorian universe is controling them and owning them, it's sort of a bonding of fate. Moff Gideon names Din Djarin against his will to show that he controls him and owns him. Noone knew Din Djarin's name before Gideon because he's a free man, he belongs to nothing and noone.
He gives his name to Cara Dune as a pass for freedom, safety and care, he offers his name as a way of give Cara and Greef control over their lives. He struggles with Grogu's name because he fails to understand him and connect to him.
And when he asks the Armourer to forge a gift for Grogu, he can no longer be satisfied by saying a foundling. He names Grogu, claims him, it's his son, his child, and Din Djarin Protects what is his with everything he's got.
He is on a journey of learning to not compromise the softness he feels inside, and sure, Ahsoka Tano could train him to use the darksaber; but there's only truly one other person who can help him plant his feet firm into the ground, someone who can show him what it actually takes to choose kindness and not flinch. There's only one other powerful warrior who has gone in the face of every force and every mentor and every tradition in order to choose love. A person who changed the course of a villain's life by choosing to name him simply as "Anakin Skywalker", and was thickheaded enough to choose compassion again, and again, and again.
Din Djarin has no way left but to seek Luke Skywalker, if he wants to move forward. And i Think Luke Skywalker has no way left but to meet a certain mandalorian either.
I'm sorry this just hit me—DINS GOING TO HAVE TO GET NAKED IN AN ABANDONED LAKE SO HE CAN BE A FULL MANDO AGAIN?????????????
grogu: baAh? Ptooh (dad! Master luke is nice but he does NOT have blue cookies or shiny metal toys or weekly run-ins with the seedy underworld of the cosmos take me with you)
Grogu: (or bring him with you? because like, I'm sensing (makes a hand motion) a liiiiitle something going on between you guys?? Possible vibes???)
luke: we can just go with you where are you going anyway
din: I have to take a very important bath
luke: sure I'm in
Cut to Luke holding Grogu as Din strips down to his underwear in a bioluminescent cavern and walks into a lake.
i’m pretty sure that jon favreau and dave filoni wanted to give Luke and Din a bunch of parallels to honor star wars canon or whatever, but they just accidentally made a REALLY sturdy pair of boyfriends
I love how a bunch of people on the internet saw Din and Luke interact for five seconds, then created the most beautiful relationship to ever arise from fandom based on that tiny interaction, and now are freaking out over two or three new little connections between them in canon. I would die for you.
listen to me. if lucasfilm plays their cards right. dinluke could be the new destiel. now listen. i’m not saying if this is a good or bad thing. i’m just saying. i think it could happen. not even saying it’s a likely outcome but i think it’s possible
every Dinluke shipper returning to the tag as soon as TBOBF episode 5 finished
Fennec: *looks at Boba* This man is a mess, too soft and probably gonna get himself killed lol
Fennec: ...
Fennec: I'll stay with him.
In an interview with Rolling Stone
When we first saw Fennec on The Mandalorian, she was a very independent character. And, at least at the moment, she seems to be fairly content at being number two to Boba. Is it just because he saved her life? Or should we maybe be skeptical of her loyalty to him?
Ming-Na: “She thinks that there could be a lot more opportunities, a lot more sense of comfort and protection with Boba. And there’s a great deal of respect that she has for him, too. They both go by this honor code that might not exist as much, but that they believe in. And I think that level of understanding and respect between the two of them really helps to create this bond that they have with each other.”
