had a dream last night where I took a uquiz called "what do you serve?" and at first the questions were standard but as the quiz progressed they became more and more highly specific to me personally and the answers became more and more similar and I realised the quiz Knew me and was forcing me into being honest by giving me no other option so I tried to click out but it just went to the next question which was "are you the spider? or are you the web?" and it had an option for each but I didn't click either so it then turned to a text box and I typed "I think I'm the fly" and the quiz paused for a while and then took me to a results page that said "you serve truth" and the description just read "what you know will kill you but you will die laughing" so like. good morning everyone I guess :/

Ian Wright stepped into the cozy confines of Pretty Little Lattes café, their mind already whirring with the endless possibilities and algorithms that filled their days. As they waited for their coffee, they took a moment to glance around the room and their eyes fell on the barista behind the counter. 

"Hey, how's it going?" the barista, Riley, said with a bright smile as they handed Ian their usual cup of coffee. 

"Good, thanks," Ian replied, taking a sip. "This is perfect, as always." 

Riley's eyes crinkled in delight. "I'm glad to hear that. So, what brings you in today?" 

"Just needed a caffeine fix," Ian said, their voice clipped and professional. "I have a lot of work to do." 

"I know the feeling," Riley said with a laugh. "What kind of work do you do?" 

"I'm the chief architect of QL's AI program," Ian said, their eyes lighting up with the thrill of their passion. "Lots of coding and debugging."

Riley's eyes widened in admiration. "That sounds really interesting. I'm into technology and programming too." 

Ian raised an eyebrow. "Really? That's rare to find outside of my team. What kind of projects do you work on?" 

They chatted for a few more minutes, discussing programming languages and software development. Ian found themselves enjoying the conversation, feeling a sense of connection with someone who shared their interests. 

As they were leaving the café, Ian paused for a moment before turning back to Riley. "Hey, do you have a phone number or something?" they asked, their heart racing with anticipation. "I'd like to keep in touch." 

Riley's face broke into a radiant smile as they scribbled their number on a napkin. "Sure thing. Text me sometime." 

Ian walked out of the café with a smile on their face, feeling grateful for the unexpected connection they had made. Maybe, just maybe, they were capable of building more than just machines.

Not to fandompost in 2023 but because it's October, I'm constantly thinking about RHPS and then I thought about that picture of the Star Trek: Enterprise cast dressed up as characters from Rocky Horror,

and of course, Scott Bakula always turns this young man's fancy back to Quantum Leap. Except it made me think of Quantum Leap from the year 2022.

So here are my headcanons for what costume each character would wear based on their vibes because there's no way that Ian isn't a huge fan and there's no way that the QL Project team didn't sit down for a movie night (or go to a midnight showing) and dress up one year before Ben leaped.

Ian: They're first on the list because they were the first one where I knew it. The obvious answer is Frank-n-Furter, but I think it would be Riff Raff. Frank is too obvious for Ian, cause yeah the fashion, but given that Riff Raff is the put-upon servant, I would imagine Ian identifies with him as a put-upon tech genius. Also, I think Ian is the only one capable of hitting that note perfectly in "Time Warp" when Riff Raff goes "Like you're under sedation!"

Ben & Addison: Smart answer is of course, Brad and Janet, they're the couple, but they don't have a big enough cast to fill out all the roles and honestly I think that it would make more sense for Ben to be Rocky and Addison to be Janet, because I think Addison would get a kick out of Ben being in a gold speedo. (Plus I bet Ben makes some sort of joke about it being the most mortifying outfit he's ever worn, which is hilarious in hindsight once he becomes a leaper)

Jenn: I admit, because we know the least about her, this one is tough, but honestly with her fashion sense, I would say that either Columbia or Magenta is a safe bet. But I also can't say that Jenn wouldn't totally rock a Frank-n-Furter costume.

Magic: Clearly the least into the whole thing, I think Ian would try to goad Magic into being Frank-n-Furter but he'd probably end up as Dr. Scott, because it's just a suit and a wheelchair. Plus Magic's already got the stache.

What’s y’all’s favorite leap. Not episode, leap. I don’t care about what happened with the modern day in that episode, focusing solely on whatever Ben was doing. I just wanna see what y’all’s thoughts are

What a first episode and twist was wild!! Can’t wait to see how this pans out..

ok but like, au where Desire keeps Ian as a sort of human pet the way Dream does Hob? i feel like they'd find it insanely entertaining that there's just some person out here looking like them, and one that's a genius too? How lucky of them :)
