Hmmmmm? you’d like to know about Mistclan? Well there isn’t much to tell. Cedarclan has always been the only clan around the salt flats for as long as I can remember. We were a family as close knit as any group of cats, and the forest was our home. It provided shelter, plentiful food, and fresh water. Cats followed the code and were kind to each other. I was happy here. Sure we had our bad seeds and occasional troubles but over all it was nice. I guess ember didn’t see it that way. As we grew he became more and more spiteful, I could only sit helpless. I blame myself really. For not seeing the warnings, for not doing something, anything. Eventually he came to the conclusion Cedarclan wasn’t for him. He left taking other cats with him, wether those cats wanted to leave or they were bullied into going I will never know. Ember broke our family that day. As far as I know he took his cats and went out onto the salt flats to live. There isn’t any water out there and barely any food. Why he would settle there is also beyond me. Everyday they struggle and it pains me to watch them or any cat live that way. Despite his short comings we mustn’t hate him or Mistclan. Ember is broken and the cats he leads don’t wish to be in that position either. They deserve pity and compassion for their sorry state. As far as I’m concern we are still family and we will be whole one day. Now if you please, let me rest, thinking of the past has drained all my energy. Thank you.

Story as told by Emberstar (Mistclan)

Cedarclan had many cats. All strong and loyal, but I stuck out like a sore thumb. Not many cats enjoyed a cat like me yknow. But over the moons of my warriorship I noticed how cats were all being so kind and letting their defenses down so easily. These cats had no cares in the world other than what they would eat tomorrow. I hated it. I despised it….How could these cats ever be strong if they just didn’t worry on anything other than prey in a lush forest? I began thinking, mulling it over. Repeatedly till it was stuck in my head….Stuck in my head that…. Cedarclan was weak and every minute I was there I was becoming as weak as the rest of them so I convinced warriors to join with me in leaving the starclan forsaken place. Later in the moons I was traveling with them and I was getting sick of walking for so long. The location we were at seemed fitting to me since the place looked like only strong cats could live there. So I just decided to start my clan there. What?? It was a stupid idea?? Well you weren’t there you brat I was getting tired now shut your trap and let me continue. So we set up and started working on making a camp where we stopped. We pretty much finished up the place before I started going around trying to find cats to convince to join me. Wasn’t too hard with a swipe to the face and a couple threats~ Soon enough I had a big enough group of cats to call it a clan. Guess that’s how Mistclan came to be. Buuuut cat’s got their own stories round here why don’t you go bother them now and leave me to rest.“

     It’s strange having to get used to peace. To a quiet hallway, a filling dinner. A hand resting in your own. More than anything though, it’s strange having to get used to a bed; specifically the comfort of one.

    Sleep was never a comforting experience for Catra though. If anything, sleep was a moment between rage and chaos, plagued by its own grueling nightmares. Sleep, in her experience, did not guarantee peace. Sleep was another thing to get used to.

    Catra stretches out over the bed for the tenth time in the past few minutes, back on a downward slope, knees tucked beneath her, and her claws tearing up a different section of the comforter. She curls her body in on itself and shuts her eyes, afraid that if she keeps them open she will actually see herself sinking into the mattress which would only further her aggravation and, by default, her inability to go to sleep.

    “This is ridiculous,” she grumbles as she sits up for the eleventh time that night. “Stupid bed in stupid Bright Moon.” Catra picks up a pillow and slams it down on the mattress. As she goes about “fluffing” it each word is punctuated with a punch. “Stupid! Princess! Comfort!” Catra throws her body down, landing face down on the pillow, and screams. “What’s the point?”
