If you struggle drawing heads in different angles watch this!

OMG I found this video and it is a absolute goldmine! Its filmed by a Disney story board artist and they make drawing heads in any angle easy! now granted it takes practice to get this technique down but it soooooo helps.

The video below goes into deep details.

Bestie Can We Get An Egg Tutorial Please? No One Is Doing It Like U…..

for sure!! here's a process video and some steps along the way!

first you wanna get yourself a little reference, but as you can see i mostly just use it for inspiration, shape, and base colors. i'm not looking to recreate it realistically. after i get the lines and base colors down i just start slapping MORE colors on that bad boy!! (no blending!!!!) i like to add bits of the background color and whatever color is going to be in the other egg im drawing (in this case it was green) which you can see in the circle around the yolk, which is just a stylistic choice.

umm what else... you gotta make sure to add that pepper... oh and i like to add a lighter version of the background around the white highlights (the highlights are the only place i use pure white and i only accent them with another color sparingly)

hope this helps!!!

I’m Not Really Good At Explaining Or Teaching Things… So… Here You Go. This Is More Like An Example

I’m not really good at explaining or teaching things… so… Here you go. This is more like an example of how I draw noses, rather than how you need to draw them. I mean, it’s pretty basic, but maybe some artists have other ways to do it }: ? I hope it at least helps a little bit! (nothing fancy, but… yeah). sorry it took me so long to produce this half-assed thing }X D

Disclaimer: I’m completely self taught so my art is not necessarily anatomically correct nor realistic. This is just how I personally draw shoes.

Chunky Big Shoes !! Shoes are one of my absolute favorite things to draw so I’m glad you like how I draw them! these are the only real tips I have lmao. I always just make a vague shape (sorta,,,looks like a cartoon steak or smthn) and then draw the shoes.

My Friend @nuclear333 Asked Me How I Shaded Hair And I Promised Her A Hair Shading Tutorial, Which Of

My friend @nuclear333 asked me how I shaded hair and I promised her a hair shading tutorial, which of course became a hair…everything…tutorial.

Lots of great tutorials have already been been made on the subject so here’s me throwing in my own two cents. The usual disclaimers apply: this is how I think of hair when I draw it, and is by absolutely no means the only way, or even necessarily a correct way, to do it. I’m always happy to hear about how others approach the same subject!

FLOWER SYMBOLISM IN TOKYO GHOUL
FLOWER SYMBOLISM IN TOKYO GHOUL

FLOWER SYMBOLISM IN TOKYO GHOUL

From this gif post (taken with permission)

First off, we have

FLOWER SYMBOLISM IN TOKYO GHOUL

 White carnation: innocence, remembrance

This could both represent the Keneki we see at the beginning of the series, and the inner reminiscing of the past by the current Kaneki.

Don’t forget, don’t forget

Remember who I am

The flower was stained in blood, resulting in a

FLOWER SYMBOLISM IN TOKYO GHOUL

Striped Carnation: refusal (I’m sorry I can’t be with you, but I wish I could)

This could be viewed as his necessary rejection of his past self, regardless of how strongly he has been clinging on to it so far. This reminds me of these two separate lines from the OP

The me that has stood in this shaken, distorted world-

Was pierced by the memory of the time I laughed so innocently

It starts as just a droplet of doubt, but Kaneki has to accept the reality, no matter how unpleasant it is

and finally,

FLOWER SYMBOLISM IN TOKYO GHOUL

Red Spider Lily/ Higanbana: the flower of death

Higanbana is a very famous flower in Japan so the meaning is clear here. This flower is associated with loss, longing, abandonment and lost memories. It is believed that if one meets a person one will never see again, this flower will grow along one’s path. I find that there are elements of yearning and regret a midst the finality and interpret this as Kaneki being forced to abandon it all- the death to his former self.

A Tutorial Masterpost

I said that I’d show some tutorials I have saved up to someone, but decided that I’d just go ahead and post most of what I have stored away and create a sort of masterpost out of it. (I figure it’ll help me just as much since, as of now, they’re all pretty scattered between my Tumblr and bookmarks)

A lot of these are hosted on my personal Tumblr, but I don’t change my url so it’s pretty safe to bookmark them there (and not have to worry about the url changing) if you don’t wish to reblog them yourself for whatever reason.
