“why isn’t there any fic about (x)?” there can be a fic that is precisely about what you want to read. just start writing that fic for yourself.

“but I’m not a writer” every writer has had their first time writing. most writers start with writing something they want to read. your work doesn’t have to be perfect, because having 1 fic that is precisely about what you want to read, even if it’s not perfect, is still better than having 0 fics about what you want to read.

You know that s2 scene where Annette is connecting with her ancestors to talk to Sekhmet while Alucard and Richter wait for her to get done meditating/levitating?

I really love when Richter asks Alucard if he can go with her to the spirit realm and Uncle Alucard is like "you have never worshipped those gods and don't know jack about what she's doing right now"

And all I could think about was how Alucard very nicely told Richter that "your heart is in the right place cuz you love Annette but some stuff is just for Black people who practice this dutifully, stay in your lane and just be supportive"

And Richter listened, giving Annette what she needed, making Annette feel supported in her darkest hours of struggle. This ship has me in a chokehold
