Some more golden-light mug photos from last night, feat. my glorious native echinacea + some obliging background bumblebees (see the last photo for a glamour shot of one of those bee-pals!).
Like the toad mugs, I left the outside unglazed & I think it really improves the colour-quality of the underglaze (& also feels so much nicer in the hand than glassy glossy glaze, at least to me). The insides of both of these are glazed with Amaco tourmaline & the outsides are a combo of Amaco, Coyote & Spectrum underglazes (mostly Amaco though - I love the pigmentation of their underglazes, even with this more watercolour-y technique!).
