This is the Rosette Nebula! 🌹🌹🌹
This is definitely the best image I have taken of this giant molecular cloud! This nebula is a star forming region with hot, blue newborn stars at its center that is shaping this region to form a beautiful flower-like shape. As seen from Earth, this nebula appears almost 5 times larger than the full Moon! ✨✨✨

This is the Trifid Nebula! 💞💞💞
This nebula’s unique name comes from the 3 dark bands of dust that traverse its center. Despite the nebula itself holding many massive stars, it is no longer undergoing star formation because these highly radiative stars have blown a lot of the dust away! 💫💫💫

My favorite bird - it’s so cute!! 😍😍😍

We have a lady killdeer who nests in my work parking lot every year and I love her so much.

This is the Super Flower Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse! ✨✨✨
Although the Slooh telescopes were off at the time of the eclipse itself, Slooh did provide a great livestream on Youtube that you can watch if you missed the event. The name “super moon” comes from how the Moon is located closer in its elliptical orbit to Earth, the name “flower moon” comes from how the super moon takes place in May, and the name “blood moon” shows its red color due to the Earth blocking the Sun’s light on the moon! 💖💖💖
