Join Slooh for a special Star Party Live on Sunday, June 13th at 1 PM EST! ✨✨✨
The Slooh Ambassadors (which includes me) have been working on this Women are From Venus star party that hopes to encourage women to participate in astronomy! 🎊🎊🎊
Jenny McFarlane will be discussing how she expands astronomy outreach at her planetarium! There will also be other talks made by other Slooh women who are passionate about space. 🙌🙌🙌
All you need to do is to make a free account at Slooh.com and then watch the star party on the website! If you are a woman and would like to participate in the Zoom, send an email to paul@slooh.com for the Zoom passcode. Please let me know if you have any questions and I hope you can attend 💖💖💖
This is the Eta Carinae Nebula! ♥✨🔥
The Eta Carinae nebula is one of the largest diffuse nebulae in our night sky, being almost 4 times larger than the Orion Nebula. The picture above only is a small part of the Eta Carinae Nebula - this section is called the Keyhole Nebula and it has a lot of dark gas and its shape has changed drastically due to nearby ionizing radiation! 🔑✨🔑✨🔑✨

This is the Black Eye Galaxy! 🌌🌌🌌
The disk of this galaxy vigorously produces stars with its rapid inflow of mass into the incredibly active black hole at the center. An inner disk produces this galaxy’s distinct dust lane that gives it its name! 🌃🌃🌃

Here is more close-up photo of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction! 🪐🪐🪐
I was able to take a picture when the 2 planets were at their closest! The small dots around the 2 planets are actually moons of the planets - I can’t believe I was able to photograph them! 🌙🌙🌙
The last viewable conjunction where the planets were this close was in the year 1226! It’s amazing we were able to see this within our lifetime! 🍀🍀🍀
