When media lied about Sochi terror, stray dogs, LGBT torture, goulags, and the ultimate failure of those games, he and Russia proved the world wrong. In Ukraine, when his armed forces could have easily overwhelmed any feasible resistance, he showed restraint. He's been accused of everything he could be accused of, and still he efforts peaceful negotiation.
