About jecka’s relationship w her and stuff or how she is as a parent (I can’t remember if it states in the game their relationship but it’s 5;44 am rn and I haven’t slept) 😋 anyway ur art is super yummy

I actually do have some headcanons about Jecka's mom. Since I've been drawing her a lot more lately, these are just a mix of headcanons all together so it's not in order.

• Jecka's mom was a teen mom

• she was an aspiring model before she got pregnant

• she met Jecka's dad in high school so they're high school sweethearts

• she doesn't like nicole

• her and Jecka often buttheads due to her being extremely passive-aggressive and kind of cruel. Also, she was barely their emotionally

• she does want the best for Jecka, but doesn't know where to draw the line between discipline and abuse

• if Jecka were to have lived with her instead of her dad she would've paid for Jecka's college on her own, only if Jecka kept her grades up

• took her huge stash of prescriptions with her when she moved out which then left Jecka having to buy her own drugs yet again

• she was actually the breadwinner in the family, which made her husband insecure

• extremely insecure about her age and looks, thanks to Jecka's dad

• she hates Emily for obvious reasons

• Jecka's dad went for Emily because she reminded him of a younger version of Jecka's mom

• inadvertently blames Jecka and her husband for making her give up her modeling dreams

• put Jecka in beauty pageants until she was 8 so she can develop more confidence

• secretly meets up with Nicole's mom to discuss certain things together

• went into a long and very soul crushing depressive spiral after being married to Jecka's dad for so long she became a shell of a woman

• Jecka's mom was your typical depressed drunk wine mom with an open drug addiction

Nicole really enjoys playing with Jecka’s hair as a stim. If they’re laying down or kissing her hands are always in Jecka’s hair, she keeps it weirdly soft

(for my aro Nicole hc) Jecka understands that Nicole feels things different but sometimes she gets insecure that Nicole doesn’t love her as much bc she won’t call them girlfriends, she’ll just say best friend. This is way in the future when they’re more healthy and Nicole can tell Jecka is upset after they go out so she doesn’t really get them engagement rings bc they both think marriage is dumb. She gets them this matching ring set and makes a point to call Jecka her partner more often. Nicole doesn’t get why it’s so important bc she wouldn’t spend over 10 years with Jecka if she didn’t care but she likes her smile so it’s worth it

Jecka is a really bad sleeper like constant nightmares so bad that she barely gets any sleep so after opening up about this some point, Nicole will call Jecka late at night with some excuse like her being bored but she just wants to keep her company bc she feels bad

Bc of this Nicole starts to develop worse eye bags and Jecka starts to do her makeup bc Nicole gets insecure about them sometimes

I’m a huge believer in Nicole not being an actual sociopath she just uses it as a wall she can put up. That girl cares way too much about so much to be a sociopath (she definitely has a personality disorder though)

Brain rot coming in. I also want to mention that a majority of these headcanons are rooted in my “Jeckole moving away after graduation and eventually healing years later despite still being a bit fucked up” headcanon. Some headcanons are also inspired by the ones from people who were once super active in the fandom months ago.

Jecka ends up getting accepted to a university in California which leads to her ticket out of her shitty town (she starts with Undecided for some time but ends up choosing pre-med to eventually become a doctor).

Nicole ends up tagging along with her out of convenience at first (she was a bit hesitant at first because she knows she’ll probably bring Jecka down whatever bullshit she gets herself into, but it beats being alone). She also ends up moving out with Jecka because LA is where she’s wanted to go for some time. Also, her mom was actually planning on kicking her out for good (even though her loser brother still gets to freeload).

I personally see Nicole as someone who suffers from extreme depression and self-worth issues due to her upbringing and is more on the cusp of having ASPD (but also, I’m still learning about ASPD, so correct me if it doesn’t work that way).

Jecka has the capability of becoming as fucked up and abusive as her dad. I mostly say this from the scene in Flip Side where she yells at Crispin telling him to off himself, unprovoked.

I also see Jecka as a potential alcoholic with anger issues (if she stayed with her dad any further).

Nicole has a form of cPTSD from her unstable environment and the implication that one of her stepfathers abused her. Even if she were to be placed in a stable environment after high school, the damage has already been done, and she’d still find ways to fuck it up because she every time she felt genuinely a little happy/satisfied with her living situation, it would disappear in puff of smoke.

Nicole ends up on meds and therapy years after moving out of Virginia, but it’s off-and-on.

Jecka also goes on meds and therapy after having a mental breakdown in med school and also after shoving Nicole against a book case during one of their arguments (she’s more consistent with it than Nicole).

During their time living in LA together, Nicole goes homeless three separate times, with one of them being her getting kicked out after Jecka finally had enough of her shit. The last time Nicole goes homeless, it’s after having an extremely difficult time adjusting to the meds and therapy and her cPTSD makes her want to leave because actual stability was getting too real for her.

Despite kicking her out for her bullshit, Jecka still lets Nicole live with her because she’s still codependent on her. Nicole is one of the few people she can be her fucked up self around, and also asked her to come to LA because she didn’t want to be alone either.

Nicole is 1/4 Asian on her dad’s side.

Following Progman’s fic, Jecka sees herself as Nicole’s savior but not entirely in an “I can fix her” type of way.

The only people from high school they still keep in touch with is Emily, with Kelly and Ari added after meeting again at a bar a decade later.

Even though Jecka’s doctor money keeps them both afloat, Nicole ends up working at a bar as a consistent job just to keep herself busy.

The only person from Jecka’s family that she keeps in touch with is her mom. She stays in contact with her dad for financial reasons, but cuts him off after she doesn’t need him anymore.

Nicole cuts off everyone from her family.

Nicole ends up getting sleeve tattoos after being sober from cutting for a significant period of time (I don’t know what the designs would be though).

aurawra21 also mentioned this, but Nicole would probably lean more towards a masc/butch look years after high school. This would include chopping her hair to shoulder length.

I also agree with the general headcanon that Jecka would have abs and have a more toned body compared to Nicole’s stick noodle-like figure.

Nicole would be the type to throw Jecka’s textbook out the window to force her to take a break while studying for med school.

Nicole is a secret nerd/geek (knowing that manga should be read from right to left, liking Mythbusters, used to play video games with her brother—all mentioned somewhere in the original game and Re-Up).

If she cared about school more, Nicole’s favorite subject would probably be chemistry.

Jecka sometimes gets very overprotective over Nicole especially after 1) getting shot by the crazy cop (Re-Up), 2) having nightmares of running to Nicole too late during the People Pleaser Route (Class of ‘09 Suicide Ending), 3) finding out Nicole overdosed/got poisoned by opioids during the very last time she went homeless (Future Timeline headcanon).

I sometimes see Jecka as a pretty neurotic person, who tries and fails to hide it.

When really affectionate, Jecka really loves to kiss Nicole’s neck (angsty reasons in one of my original posts lol).

The two simultaneously make each other better and worse.

They enter an off-and-on situationship for a number of years until they decide to get court married for the benefits.

They wear fake marriage rings when out in public in an effort to try and ward off desperate men. It doesn’t always work, but they’ll never admit to each other that they actually do like wearing them.

Aaaannnddd these are the most that I’ve remembered at the top of my head. I might add more as time goes on, but I love the idea of them reaching adulthood and becoming somewhat more well-adjusted over time.

Emily saw a gun commercial at the age of 6, when she saw the actor pulling the trigger... she was absolutely traumatized– but she wanted to try it on herself (holy shit) and after sneaking into her dad's bedroom later that night, she found his pistol and aimed for her head, it didn't go off the first time– but the second time was.. yeah.

She did have a crush on Nicole but when she witnessed what kind of a bitch she was with Ari, e.g, choking her in public, she was terrified of Nicole, since then? Emily has been avoiding her and secretly dated Jecka behind her back. (Should I make a fic about this?)

Emily hasn't recovered from that gun incident, everytime she sees one, she ends up freaking the fuck out– Jecka and Ari have to comfort her everytime she has a panic attack.

Emily lashes out on Nicole when she sees her with Ari because of 2 reasons. 1). She hates when Nicole puts her (Ari) hands on her but she doesn't do shit about it because she can't fight. 2). Ari had a crush on Emily but after Nicole convinced her that she was an affectionate partner– She kissed her immediately and Nicole pushed her off.

Emily has attachment issues, she has to be by Jecka or Ari 24/7 because she has nightmares because of.. (hint: the first hc)

Emily tried to commit arson to Nicole's house twice. That's how much she can't fucking stand Nicole, she wants her to die, after abusing, and torturing Ari anyways.

Jecka can't keep up with Nicole's bullshit, after trying to keep her accountable multiple times, she gives up.

Jecka has also seen Nicole's abusive actions and tries to befriend Ari so she can convince her to break up with Nicole.

Jecka does have PTSD from Nicole threatening to beat the shit out of her– That's why she's always wearing hoodies so she doesn't get exposed to her peers or sent to therapy.

Emily and Jecka actually have a great friendship, passing Adderall and Xanax to each other during classes is a way they cope with the memories of Nicole.

Jecka often started wearing blue because of Emily. Nicole used to wear blue but, holy shit– that would trigger her as well.

Jecka has teamed up with Em multiple times to fuck up Nicole's life, her image and everything. They even brought her her dad's suicide and she ended up crying in the bathroom later that day, they laughed at her. (Payback for fucking with Ari <3)
