Lloyd woke up to the distant sounds of knocking. His green eyes were filled with a hint of annoyance, but also disappointment for he didn’t want to get out of bed. Turning his head, he stared at the door. The knocking continued, his shaky breath in sync with the loud, fast unimaginably painful noise.

And then, it had stopped.

His eyes widened, glistening with relief, but then it had quickly vanished. The door creaked open, and he met his gaze with his friend, Kai, who had a pained look on his face. “I don’t mean to disturb you, Lloyd, but I have some bad news…” he murmured.

Lloyd sat up in his bed, suddenly intrigued. “What is it?” He replied, dryly. His face paled when Kai held up a chart with names and lists of the days of the week. Kai’s eyes became grim, and he said, “It’s your turn.”

“No…” Lloyd whispered, his breath becoming heavy, “I-it can’t be… please… have Cole or Jay do it!” But Kai merely answered, “You made a promise to not complain. It’ll go quick, I swear.” His eyes hardened, his voice becoming bitter. Lloyd glared, staring up at the red ninja. “No,” he said, his voice heavy with anger, “I won’t do it.”

“But you have to!” Kai exclaimed, his voice too becoming angry, “If you don’t… you’ll experience the pain… Wu’ wrath… it’s too much! Wouldn’t you rather do what’s right then experiencing pain?”

Lloyd got up, his hands trembling at his side. “I can’t! You don’t know how much pain this has caused me… Kai, I… I can’t do it!” He exclaimed, breathlessly, his green eyes filled with pain. Kai reached out. “No…” He said, “But Lloyd, you CAN. I know you can. Please…” His voice came to a whisper, “You can save all of us.”

Lloyd let out a small sigh. “I guess… But I really don’t want to…” He walked passed Kai, and out the door. The beating of his heart grew louder and stayed in sync with his footsteps as he walked, walked, walked passed the other doors and into the kitchen where Jay, Cole, and Zane were sat, chatting away. Their voices subsided when Lloyd came in, and he walked passed them, to the sink.

It was already filled, one half with soapy water, the other… Lloyd shuddered, and picked one up, carefully putting it in. “This is not the end… but it might as well be,” he whispered, carefully.

“Dude,” Jay said, “It’s just the dishes.”

But I don’t want to do the dishes, Lloyd thought, but his thoughts were carried away with the sound of clinking silverware and running water, drifting away into the afternoon haze.

when you skip school for a day, you get free time to do this.

theory about ninjago ages and all

uhm hi so an idea for a theory came to my mind and i HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT

so. i was scrolling thorugh ninjago wiki and i somehow ended Chen’s side. I read there that even though Chen was Garmadon’s master, his student was way older than him. i also saw this pic:

here we have Garm and Chen in their young days. For me, Chen looks kinda older than Garm (but it’s ninjago, so i guess it’s not a big deal at this point). Let’s get to the conclusion i got: elemental masters age differently than other people. why, you might ask?? here comes the explanation:

First Spinjitzu Master, at least for me, wasn’t a normal human at all. He was part oni, part dragon - he was created from two species of very powerful beings. he created A WHOLE REALM (at least one, i guess that we can also count kingdom of clouds beside of ninjago but im not sure). He had a power of creation and destruction. Everyone in the whole ninjago praise him, it doesn’t matter if they are supporters of ninjas or they are rather suspicious of them. from my point of view, it looks a lot like if FSM was a god. we know that he died at some point, but still - he lived very, very long. 

FSM being a god would make his sons, Wu and Garm, demigods (considering that their mother was a normal person. Or maybe he just created his kids from aether. then it would mean that they are gods. idk). As we know, all elemental masters are descendants of FSM which would make them demigods as well. And the oldest elemental masters we know who appeared in show for the longest time were Wu and Garm, who are also really old. So i think it’s quite possible for other elemental masters to age the same way as them.

you can ask “but ver, then why did they changed their appearance in such a short time???” i also thought about this so stay in your seats

we know that Wu and Garm (im not counting his “bad guy” form) came from this

BUT

you know who didn’t aged at all? yes, Ray and Maya. they look like this:

for at least 40 years. 

And what is the difference between Garm, Wu, Clouse and Ray with Maya?

Ray and Maya passed their powers to their kids.

All Wu, Garm and Clouse kept their powers - Wu and Clouse didn’t had any descendants and Lloyd, Garm’s son, somehow got element of energy instead of destruction.

And after what events Wu and Garm aged so much? After Serpentine Wars and fights with Hands of Time. So, in conclusion: after the events that made them use their powers the most. With Garm there is also a thing about his life as a villain - he used his powers a lot from what i can remember. Clouse also probably used much of his magic during the time of being Chen’s sidekick.

Also, coming back to garmabros, we haven’t seen them using their powers this much while their sensei days. I only recall Wu summoning his elemental dragon in s5

So what i want to say: elemental power has its cost. After using so much of it you can either lose it for a while (like Lloyd did in s8) or lose years of your life. The other thing is when you pass it down to your kids - then you still have your demigod youth and you still live a long life.

In the comic where Kai set his mug of fire, it looks like his eyes glowed red. Do you know if that happens every time he uses his powers? And do the other kids have a tell for when their powers are in use?

Fire

Current Holder: Raiden Kajiya

To be inherited by his eldest child Kai, who is already showing signs(as follows)

- Manipulation of heat external to self

- Manipulation of own body heat

- Slight pyrotechnics

No signs of emotional or mental instability, but living with him is proving to be useful in keeping those unwanted side effects at bay.

Kai mostly telegraphs his ability use with the signature red-orange eye glow and a slight increase in body temperature

Water

Current Holder: Maya Kajiya

To be inherited by her youngest child Nya, who has shown an early affinity for the element.

Considering her age, there isn’t too much to go off of, but she has been toying with controlling small waves here and there

Water masters tend to be stubborn and independant, which Nya already has in spades. Living with her is letting us prevent her from heading off on her own and getting hurt-this will hopefully prevent that attitude from coming out later in life.

Does not yet show any tells-maybe in a year or so.

Earth

Previous Holder: Claramae Allun

Currently held by her son Cole, who shows remarkable restraint and control over a usually very tumultuous element. Signs of usage include;

- Seismic Activity

- Bouts of super strength

Has not used abilities near the others yet, but Lou has been kind enough to relay the information to me.

Connection to his element is much stronger then with the others at this time-his mother passed 2 years ago thus he is the direct channeler of Earth.

Earth masters veer towards caution and protective instincts. As the oldest of the current ninja, Cole has taken a more parental role with them-We will have to make sure he isnt preventing the others from testing their abilities in the future.

Lightning

Current Holder: Elysia Gordon

Confusingly being inherited by Jay Walker. Has begun to show small signs of use, specifically with shocking others on contact.

Hasnt yet started showing any of the negative tells like sudden mood shifts or explosive anger, but he’s sitll very young and sheltered.

Ice

Current Holder: Crispin Quilo

The other confusing inheritor in our group. Zane is cautiously starting to uncover his abilities, starting with Manifesting Frost and Snow.

Unlike with the Walkers, Crispin has history with Julien and Zane-will have to look into this further to figure out the connection between them.

Zane is very quiet, but that is a standard among masters of ice, along with a sense of detachment from others-something we’ll have to keep an eye on.

Especially since Lloyd washed the pink out of his gi

Is it ever explained how he got all that stuff? Because I’ve been wondering since this season came out, and still haven’t received a decent answer.

Headcannons: The Ninja as Spouses

Cole: He is always worried about the kids. He is very attentive to his wife and flirts with her even though they’re married. When he had a surgery, afterward, he flirted as if he’d never seen her before. His wife got some funny recording of it. 

Jay: He tells dad jokes all the time. When he’s with Nya he flirts with her, even in public. His kids get grossed out by the PDA. One of them will scream and flee the room. Jay gives his kids cake and ice cream for supper if he’s the one babysitting. 

Nya: She doesn’t like PDA, but she allows it in front of their children for amusements sake. She will say suggestive things about her husband in public, which traumatizes her children.  Example: Jay, “We both agree that I’m the better of us both.”   Nya, “Better at what, exactly?”  Jay, “….I think we both know.”   The kids, “EWWWWWW”.

Zane and Pixel: We all already know what Zane is like. He loves his wife above all else. He has pet names for her that Pixel loves. He calls her Pixie often. And we all know our favorite quote, “You have half my heart, you can tell me anything.” #relationshipgoals

Lloyd: He loves physical attention but is also very shy. He loves his wife and would literally die for her. When he told her that she looked disturbed but didn’t make any comments on it. Lloyd’s first kid was a mystery to him. He had to be taught how to change diapers by his wife. He was disgusted the first time he had to change a stinky one. 

Kai: He flirts with his wife all the time. In privet, in public, it doesn’t matter. His wife is fair game for his attention. The Ninja are disgusted by his attention to his wife. He will randomly pull her into his lap and kiss her. He is very touchy, which is uncomfortable for everyone involved. His kids love him because he is very dramatic when they play. He falls over and allows them to crawl on him.

WATCH THE NEW SEASON OF NINJAGO WHEN IT AIRES IN YOUR COUNTRY. I CANNOT STRESS HOW ESSENTIAL IT IS TO WATCH IT AIR OR ON DIRECT TV XFINITY I DONT KNOW BUT WATCH IT.

Why is this so important?

Since Ninjago has been released on YouTube, I would assume the majority if not all of the fandom has seen it there. Therefore when the show actually aires, since you have already watched it you don’t feel like you need to watch it again.

That is going to kill the viewership of the show.

Low viewership, it looks bad on the show- especially since this is very possibly the best season yet. Lego and possibly even Cartoon Network will notice that the viewership is low and it could affect the future of the show.

Basically: IF YOU WANT NINJAGO TO LAST, WATCH IT WHEN IT AIRS IN YOUR COUNTY. BUILD THE VIEWS IT DESERVES. WATCH IT AGAIN. WATCH IT 20 TIMES. MAKE LEGO AND CN SEE THIS SHOW IS WORTH IT.

Personal Ninjago Headcanons!

Most of this probably doesn’t align with the canon. I tried.

Lloyd:

-When he uses his power too much, his eyes glow a faint green and sometimes his vision gets tinted green for a few minutes after.

-Sometimes, he tries to hand off the position as leader back to Cole. It gets to be too much.

-The best thing he can cook are dinosaur chicken nuggets and fish sticks.

-Has eyed green hair-dye more than one time. Never went through with it.

-Goes to comic shops and signs all the merchandise he’s on for fun. 

-Does autographs any place, any time. He loves it.

Kai:

-Is the main reason the ninja have hair gel.

-Lots of younger fans have tried his style, which resulted in many ‘KAI CHALLENGE’ videos on NinjaTube. Out of the thousands, only a few dozen are Kai-approved.

-Is the best at hair among the ninja.

-Chews pencils, only stops when he realizes that his teeth are screaming out in pain.

-Spins the life out of wheeled chairs.

-Wears ten layers and thermals in winter or any remotely cold weather. 

-Swagger swagger. 

 -‘Tch, you wish your breath smelled like mine.' 

 Cole:

 -Can take a hit the best out of the ninja. 

 -Rock climbing boss. 

-'excuse me what did you say about my friends' 

 -'exCUSE ME WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT NINDROIDS' 

 -If someone insults any of his friends in any way, the object in his hand is first to go then he straight up body slams them.

 -Is fiercely protective over his favorite restaurants and bakeries.

 -Can make the essentials of breakfast and a few sandwiches with help from Zane but leave him loose with a can of jam someone is going to end up crying. 

-Inconvenient Earth Punches. Flaunts his power like he stole it, especially his super strength.

-'Hey dude Jay wanna watch me spin this billboard over my head' 

 -'Yo Nya do you think that if I ran fast enough that I could punch through that wall, I mean it’s abandoned so’

 -One of his favorite terms is 'might as well’ and a laugh 

 -Slurps needlessly loudly. 

 Jay: 

-Electro puff of hair.

 -Combines energy drinks and coffee literally just to try and see how long he can go. 

 -Sometimes, the only place he can sleep aboard the Bounty is his own bed. The rest of the time he just flops down where there is something that sort of resembles a pillow and snoozes. 

 -Has a lot of fun with his powers, messes around with stuff like electronic billboards, light displays, and computer advertisement in the windows of computer shops. 

 -Is an unwavering optimist most of the time. When the ninja actually need an optimist, he starts stomping around and being negative. 

 -Will fight over the last donut and gets incredibly offended if someone even moves his leftovers. Tries to mark them with markers so nobody will eat them. It doesn’t work. 

 -Puts his blankets like capes around his shoulders and runs around the Bounty during windy days.

Nya: 

 -When she suspects people are looking up at the Bounty, when it’s in the sky, she makes dumb faces down to them. 

 -'I didn’t sign up to be a ninja but neither did any of you, get back to work' 

-Bright socks all over the floor. 

-Makes nests of blankets at night for her to work in. 

 -Never trust with a Nerf gun. Also never trust with a water gun, because she will turn a little pistol into a submachine gun of watery death. 

-Tries to be a bigger show-off than Kai. It’s pretty much a competition to see who’s flashier. 

 -Never gets tired of fixing the Bounty or Zane. Both are such complex machines that she discovers something new about them every time. The ninja disapprove of her leaving Zane off 'just five more minutes’ to study him. 

-Once tried to figure out the Elemental powers through science, gave up and decided that it was magic. 

 -Shrugs a lot. 

 -Gets angry when someone insults her work or the work of any of the other ninja. 

-'I WILL SHOW YOU A BAD KNITTING PROJECT YOU LOSER' 

 -Unlike Cole, who will put down or give to hold something before charging at someone he wants to attack, Nya just slams them with the object still in her hand. 

 -Will fight you outside of the bakery, but usually not inside of the bakery because bakeries are fragile places. 

-Never hesitate to tease, no matter how inappropriate it may be at the time.

Zane: 

-Actually got shorter in his Titanium form. 

 -Has like forty scarves. Most of them are snowflake patterned. Some of which he made himself. 

-Insult him and whatever ninja coming at you first will double down on every punch. 

 -Isn’t quite the mom friend all the time, because he will sometimes try to stop a ninja from doing a stupid thing, sometimes he joins the stupid thing, and sometimes he records the stupid thing. 

 -The best at ice-skating. Actually probably skates better than most Ninjago professionals. 

 -Very happy with his weird little family. Very very proud.

 -Uses his powers in the nicest way for Ninjago citizens, because he tries not to cause as much destruction as the others. Also likes to cause snow days and make statues made of ice. 

 -Goes between 'I am so incredibly sorry for all of this’ and 'but what do I have to be sorry about’ during interviews. 

 -One of the best options for recon, because he can disguise his voice perfectly, mimic a character, and change his appearance the best out of all the ninja. 

-Sweetheart.

-Actually gets aggressive if you question his kitchen orders.

-’what do you mean too much peppermint’

-’what do you mean too much vanilla’

-'its always winter you ignoramus’

I like to casually say a lie and let someone believe it for a minute, then tell them the truth.

I was thinking about when Peter left Brian to drown in Family Guy and said “I swear to God I though dogs could breathe underwater.”

So in casual conversation with my mom and brother I told them that up until 2 years ago, I thought dogs could breathe underwater.

It went something like this.

“Hey if you think that’s bad, up until 2 years ago I thought dogs could breathe underwater.”

Mom smiles. “Really?”

I nod and smile. “Yea that could’ve been a disaster!”

“Yea good thing we didn’t take them swimming!”

I asked if she was serious.
