Tfw when your sister comes out as a lesbian so you sing a duet together about being true to yourself and not letting family pressure keep you down and you roll together on a mountain of flowers while longingly gazing into each other's eyes, only for your homophobic grandmother to show up and accuse you - not her - of corrupting your sister and hurting your family, as if you weren't a member but rather an outsider, an external threat, never quite being loved by the people you love, as you hopelessly try to explain it wasn't that it seemed, your sister NEEDED you to ruin her engagement to the heterosexual man down the road and sing a lesbian duet with you on top of a palm tree.
Ahh the golden child × scapegoat child dynamic. I hold it so dear to my heart.
This took me SO LONG but I for one am somewhat proud of how a piece of mine turns out :D
