❣ Skincare Magick ❣

image

(Gif from this video)

image

Every so often, use some moon water to wash your face.

Avoid using essential oils directly on your face, they can clog your pores.

Apply body wash or soap to your skin in clockwise circles to open your body up to positivity.

image

Enchant your moisturizers, acne creams, and cleansers for an added boost.

Draw sigils in your face cream.

Try adding herbs and herb-based products into your routine. Witch Hazel is very popular for treating skin related issues.

If you use pore-cleaning masks, use them to pull the negative energies from your skin.

Use your ring finger to massage products into your skin to ground yourself.

❣ Skincare Magick ❣

Brew Black tea and then refrigerate it until it’s cool. Then apply it as you would astringent.

Use coconut oil to easily remove makeup. Cleanse and wash after.

Rub a sliced orange on elbows and heels to soften rough and cracked skin. Rinse when finished.

Massaging your face is a wonderful way to ground yourself or begin meditation.

one word spells

As long as you can focus your energy and set your intention your spell should work, so I’ve designed these 5 spells using just one word for a Witch who needs a quick fix.

Mariquil

Pronounced mar-e-quil

Used to calm a temper or an upset person. From the latin word for sea, mare, and the english word tranquil. Essentially you are calling the sea inside them to be still. For better results cast with wet hands.

Univert

Pronounced Uni-var

Used for faster transport. I use it at the train station to have a shorter wait time but really its designed for traffic lights. By combining uni from universe and vert, the french word for green, you’re essentially asking the universe to make your path green.

Visididen

Pronounced Vis-e-did-en

Used to go unnoticed or invisible. Taken from the english words vision and hidden. For best results chant it softly while visualising yourself turning transparent.

Lapagna

Pronounced Lap-ag-na

Used when you just need someone to shut the f**k up but are too polite to say so. Taken from the Latin words lapis and magna, meaning stone and voice. For best results hold a stone or some earth while casting, if they’re really pissing you off just throw the stone or dirt at them.

Bavarignis

pronounced Bav-are-ig-ni

Used to strike up a conversation or to continue a conversation. Taken from the French word bavarder, which means chat, and the Latin word ignis, which means fire. Basically you’re asking for the conversation to spark or catch fire. For best results flick a lighter in your pocket or light a match.

Metoposcopy - The Divination Form No One Has Heard Of

I was watching a documentary earlier about restored old books and one of them covered this fascinating topic!

Metoposcopy - The Divination Form No One Has Heard Of
Metoposcopy - The Divination Form No One Has Heard Of

What is Metoposcopy?

Metoposcopy is a method of divination in which the personality, future and past are recorded by reading the lines on a persons forehead or face in general. The method first originated in China. Even Aristotle and Hippocrates were both firm believers. The practise varied heavily from country to country, but really took off in the middle ages and the renaissance. Metoposcopy was further developed and documented by 16th Century mathematician and astrologer Gerolamo Cardano. This information was compiled into a book called Metoposcopia.(A very interesting individual with progressive views for the time that you should definitely research)

It’s extremely hard to find any explanations or details on this, but I have included what I managed to dig up!

Déjà Vu - the experience of being certain that you have experienced or seen a new situation previously – you feel as though the event has already happened or is repeating itself. The experience is usually accompanied by a strong sense of familiarity and a sense of eeriness, strangeness, or weirdness. The “previous” experience is usually attributed to a dream, but sometimes there is a firm sense that it has truly occurred in the past.

Déjà Vécu - is what most people are experiencing when they think they are experiencing deja vu. Déjà vu is the sense of having seen something before, whereas déjà vécu is the experience of having seen an event before, but in great detail – such as recognizing smells and sounds. This is also usually accompanied by a very strong feeling of knowing what is going to come next.

Déjà Visité -  a less common experience and it involves an uncanny knowledge of a new place. For example, you may know your way around a a new town or a landscape despite having never been there, and knowing that it is impossible for you to have this knowledge. Déjà visité is about spatial and geographical relationships, while déjà vécu is about temporal occurrences. Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote about an experience of this in his book “Our Old Home” in which he visited a ruined castle and had a full knowledge of its layout. He was later able to trace the experience to a poem he had read many years early by Alexander Pope in which the castle was accurately described.

Déjà Senti - Déjà senti is the phenomenon of having “already felt” something. This is exclusively a mental phenomenon and seldom remains in your memory afterwards. In the words of a person having experienced it: “What is occupying the attention is what has occupied it before, and indeed has been familiar, but has been forgotten for a time, and now is recovered with a slight sense of satisfaction as if it had been sought for. The recollection is always started by another person’s voice, or by my own verbalized thought, or by what I am reading and mentally verbalize; and I think that during the abnormal state I generally verbalize some such phrase of simple recognition as ‘Oh yes—I see’, ‘Of course—I remember’, etc., but a minute or two later I can recollect neither the words nor the verbalized thought which gave rise to the recollection. I only find strongly that they resemble what I have felt before under similar abnormal conditions.”

Jamais Vu - Jamais vu (never seen) describes a familiar situation which is not recognized. It is often considered to be the opposite of déjà vu and it involves a sense of eeriness. The observer does not recognize the situation despite knowing rationally that they have been there before. It is commonly explained as when a person momentarily doesn’t recognize a person, word, or place that they know. Chris Moulin, of Leeds University, asked 92 volunteers to write out “door” 30 times in 60 seconds. He reported that 68 per cent of his guinea pigs showed symptoms of jamais vu, such as beginning to doubt that “door” was a real word. This has lead him to believe that jamais vu may be a symptom of brain fatigue.

Presque Vu - Presque vu is very similar to the “tip of the tongue” sensation – it is the strong feeling that you are about to experience an epiphany – though the epiphany seldom comes. The term “presque vu” means “almost seen”. The sensation of presque vu can be very disorienting and distracting.

Blood Salt

Blood salt

What is blood salt? Blood salt is a salt used to negate magick. Think of it as a nullifying substance. If you need to halt a spell or break a working done on you blood salt is what I use. I came up with this recipe when thinking of a substitute of black salt that had anti-faery capabilities (we don’t all get along with the wee folk of the Glen or whatever) so first and foremost this is an anti bad spirit and fae substance.

Why is it called blood salt?

Because it contains iron. The most famous anti magic substance known to folklore and that fun element that turns your blood a red color (hence the name “blood” salt). Iron has been used for centuries in Europe against evil spirits and fae, due to the fact it seems to repel or on some accounts hurt faery and spirits that come into contact with it.

How do I make it?

It’s a very simple recipe, much like black salt which is salt and charcoal. This one is salt and iron. Iron is actually very simple to obtain. I used crushed chelated iron which you can find in most vitamin stores and aisles. However if you can get a hold on some good old FeO2 (iron oxide) or rust that’s even better. Don’t be afraid of making it your own and adding other ingredients that you feel would be useful in this mixture to you.

One caveat DO NOT ADD YOUR BLOOD OR ANY REAL BLOOD TO BLOOD SALT. I know is said earlier that iron is what makes your blood red. However it is not a good substance to use as a source of iron as its also what we would call a taglock, personal effect, or power item. By adding your essence to the mix it could be like offering it to spirits and fae, and you really don’t want either to have power over you. It’s like giving your real name or eating what is offered. Blood is also used commonly as an offering to feed spirits, so it’s kind of like tossing loaded guns to the psycho killer that’s chasing you through the woods. Just use good judgement here and practice safe casting.

How to cleanse your room of bad energy

- Open the window and let fresh air and sunlight flow through the room. Also keep the door open if you can.

- Since your bed is a huge part of the bedroom, strip your bedding and throw it in the wash.

- Quickly tidy up any clutter. This doesn’t need to be a huge job. Just tackle the main things like dirty laundry and dirty dishes.

- Light an incense and walk around the room with it. Hold the incense for a while in each corner, behind furniture, and around any new items you have brought into your room that need to be cleansed.

- Fill a spray bottle with water, salt, and your favourite essential oil (I recommend lavender for the bedroom) and spray it around your room in any spots you still feel negative energy.

- An alternative to spraying salt water is you can sprinkle salt around your room and then vacuum it up.

- Still feel negative energy? Walk around your room and clap! This works wonders.

- Once your bedding is clean and dry, make your bed with it.

You’re done! You will probably feel a lot better. You don’t have to do all of these things at once. If you don’t have much time or energy but need to cleanse, just try doing one of these things.

Simple charms/enchantments

I’m simple when I charm things.

I literally write what energy/feeling/charm I want to imbue an object with on a piece of paper and then put said object on top of it. I then sprinkle cleansing salt water (maybe salt water, maybe my sage and lavender water, whatever is handy) on it along with whatever dried herbs I feel correspond with the charm. Then I wait and let it sit while it dries. Once it dries, I burn the paper and hold the object over the smoke until it’s done burning.

And poof, charmed/enchanted item.

If you can’t tell, I’m personally not a fan of spoken magic and rarely speak when I practice my craft.

A face so pure and sweet - a glamour spell

This is a mask that my sister gave me the recipe for, she’s in school to become a skin care specialist. I told her I needed a mask to shrink my pores and get rid of my black heads and she sent me this. It’s all natural which is why I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make it into a spell.

Things you‘ll need:

Raw virgin coconut oil (make sure it’s non-gmo)

Raw honey

Turmeric

A lemon

A bowl & a spoon

What to do:

Put 2 tbs. of coconut oil, 1 tbs. of honey, 1 tsp. of lemon juice, and ½ a teaspoon of turmeric into a bowl and mix.

Charge with intent

Apply to face (it gets kind of runny)

Wait 10 minutes or more before washing off

I took a ritual bath with a bath bomb I made and put a spoonful of this into the water. The bath bomb had purification powder in it, and this mask’s ingredients are heavy with purifying properties. My skin feels amazing and I smell pretty amazing also. I don’t know where she got the recipe from, so I’m not claiming to have made it up on my own. I may put instructions for the ritual bath!

I suggest storing it somewhere cool, so the coconut oil stays solid.

I charged the mask with the intent of purification and to draw in a lover (the honey).

This is also a super low-key spell for witches who are in the broom closet.

*EDIT* Lemon is a natural toner / astringent, and it also lightens skin. So if you are darker complected and don’t want your skin to lighten. (though I don’t think that would happen with this) Replace the lemon with something that would appeal more to your skin tone! :)

Four shells protection spell

Four Shells Protection Spell

Hellooo everyone! I did a lil something to celebrate summer since I’m finally officially on holiday! ♡

Materials:

• salt

•black pepper

•rose thorns (pins will work as well)

•sea water (you’ll need just a few drops)

•rosemary

•sage

•lavender

•seaglass

•basil

•4 candles (one for each element- I used blue for water, red for fire, black for earth and white for air.)

•marker

•4 sea shells (like these ☟)

Four Shells Protection Spell

☾1☽ Draw on the inside of the shells the symbols of the elements (one on each)

Four Shells Protection Spell

☾2☽ Light the candles, then place the herbs, salt and seaglass inside of each shell (the order does not matter). Sprinkle the sea water on the shells; while you do so visualize your goal, for example protecting your house from thunderstorms, from burglars… whatever you need

Four Shells Protection Spell

☾3☽ When you’re done, pour the wax of each candle on the corresponding shell to seal it.

Four Shells Protection Spell

☾4☽ Once the wax has cooled down, place the water seashell west, the air one east, the earth one north and the fire one south.

You can bury them in the garden or if you don’t have one you can bury them in small jars. You can also keep them on the floor or forniture inside your house! ♡

☾ What is moonsalt?  ☽

I knew moonsalt since I was a little kid, and I  had no idea that it was witchcraft. thing. Basically moonsalt = salt+ash+oil. Of course you can add wahtever you want to  this is just a base.

☾ What i need to make it?  ☽

★ 1 or 2 teaspoons of salt (normal or sea salt, I prefer normal)

★ piece of paper and a pen

★ some oil (I use lavender oil)

Write a sigil on the paper. I mostly use protection or balance sigil. Then burn the paper (be carefull!)

Mix ash, salt and oil and keep it safe in a tiny bottle. You can carry your moonsalt in your bag for protection or keep it in your house for balance.

☾ Why moonsalt? ☽

I was a kid when I called it like that, probably because of its colour.

☾ Moonsalt will help you to keep balance in your life and its really simple to do even for baby witches ☽

witchcraft and the law

as we approach the anniversary of “the bone incident” i thought this was important. not an expert in law, but throughout my practice this is a list i have gathered of things that may conflict with things you may want to do in your craft

image

there are just some things that are straight up against the law. this isn’t aimed at your religious freedoms, this is about following the laws of the land you live in. while your religion/spiritual beliefs may allow and encourage it, that may not be coincide with what is legal in your area.

bird feathers - some species of birds and animals are endangered and collecting their feathers or remains is against the law. this varies from state to state, so you should check the laws of your area before collecting things you find in the wild. (x)

plants/animal parts in the mail - there are a number of restrictions on what can and cannot be safely mailed in a sanitary method, and they need to be followed. (x)

teaching witchcraft to minors - in many places, it is the parents who get first and only say in what religion is taught to their child, until they reach the age of majority. legal action can often be brought against those who teach a minor witchcraft without the parent’s consent. (x)

digging up bones - just no. collecting bones that somehow come out of the graves is off the table too. the selling and buying and overall collection of human bones is often illegal, if not entirely. (x)

littering - spells that tell you to bury a glass jar somewhere, or to throw it in the ocean are not only harmful to the environment, they’re illegal, and subject to fines and prison time. you need to find a decompose-able method or a different spell (x)

tampering with someone’s food or drink - no matter what your intentions are, giving someone a love potion or something for their benefit, this is illegal in every state. not to mention, you don’t know if they’re allergic to what you put in. (x)

improper disposal of spell remains - be very careful on how you dispose of a spell, and make sure you aren’t introducing mercury or other toxic chemicals into the ecosystem. it’s bad for your surroundings, and it’s illegal (x)

animal abuse - it does not matter how sacred animal sacrifice and abuse it to your craft, if it breaks the laws, you should rethink it. (x)

trespassing - no matter how much you may want to pick some herbs that grow on someone else’s property, doing so without permission is trespassing and stealing. not to mention dangerous, as there are states with laws that allow the owner to bare arms against trespassers. (x)

fire safety - so you go out into the woods to set up a ritual, cool. but not paying attention to the fire alert that day, and how likely a stray spark from your ritual candles could start a forest fire and endanger countless people. it does not matter what stars are in position, is smokey the bear says no, do it a different day. (x)

this is not about dictating your beliefs or repressing your religious freedom. this is about public safety and respecting other people’s rights. practicing magic does not put you above the law, and it does not make your whims more important than the safety and rights of other people. if you do any of these, you’re not expressing your beliefs, you’re putting those around you in danger.

this is based on my experience in america and in reference to american law. if you have any more to add or other countries’ law restrictions, feel free to add.

WITCH’S SIGIL WHEEL
WITCH’S SIGIL WHEEL

WITCH’S SIGIL WHEEL

Decide on a word that resembles what you want to accomplish, such as LOVE, HEALTH, or PROTECTION. Then, starting from the first letter trace the letters of your word in a straight line from one to another, ending with the last letter of your word. If you want, you can connect the last line back to the first to create a closed shape, or leave it as an open one.

When you’re finished, you have a simple sigil then can be etched into a candle and burnt down, or you can write it down on paper and add it to a small bottle or pouch with herbs.

@crhserenity my formula that I use for digits is 1. State your intention 2. Put the sentence backwards 3. Get rid of all of the vowels 4. Get rid of all repeating letters 5. Take the letters you have left and connect them all into one solid picture 6. Add little dots and lines and swirls where you want them

I hope this helps a little, and I will try to mix some social stuff in for you!!

A traditional practice in many aboriginal and indigenous cultures (one particular Native American story comes to mind that says that if you whistle while hunting for a bear’s den it is considered very bad luck, as you will attract the wind and give away your position. Yikes!)

A low pitch whistle summons a light breeze.

A high pitch whistle summons a large gust of wind.

Burning Pansy, Heather and Saffron (Rain-Bringing and Wind-Calling Herbs)

One can catch and bind a storm using a bottle or jar charm or a rope or knot spell to put away for later use.

Tips for writing spells:

If you want to keep something close, bury it in your back yard. If you want to attract something, bury it under the front door step If you want to destroy its influence, burn it. If you want it to move away and sink, throw it in running water If you want to disperse it to a distance, throw it into a crossroads If you want to fix its influence, inter it in a five-spot pattern If you want it to work by means of spirits, bury it in a graveyard If you want to hide its point of origin, conceal it in a tree If you want it to work in secret, give it in food or drink If you want it to work by stealth, hide it in clothing or on objects If you want its influence to begin or strengthen, throw it East If you want its influence to end or weaken, throw it West If you want its influence to rise and fall cyclicly, float it in a tidal estuary
