🌙Make Time For Your Faith🌙

🌙Make Time For Your Faith🌙

🌙Make Time For Your Faith🌙

ART BY: @eunnieboo

⭐ If you go to university, study or have a full-time job that requires travel or takes up a lot of your time, it can sometimes be difficult to prioritize your witchy journey. But this  does not mean it is impossible. If you are just starting out in Witchcraft, try to schedule time into every day; even if it’s just half an hour to write in your Book of Shadows or to practice reading your tarots or research a new subject. There’s no need to pressure yourself; it’s not a chore and should be fun!

⭐ If you have been doing witchcraft for a while and suddenly have a change in location- maybe you have begun university, moved home or started a new job- do the same: schedule a time for your practices or even use it to wind down in the evenings before you sleep. This can be a super effective way to enjoy your witchy journey and make the learning element less chore-like - just chill and look forward to it in the evenings. Remember that sometimes you may be so busy that you barely have time to sleep, let alone practice your craft, so don’t punish yourself. Remember that you live and breathe your beliefs, if you miss a full moon or forget a ritual that you had planned, don;t worry about it, it will come around again soon!

⭐ If you have a job that takes up a lot of your time, you can take magic with you, whether it be a book to read in your lunchtime, a form of divination you can do on the train, crystals to use for meditation or even a semi-permanent altar , as small as a match box with a few herbs, a candle and a few other mini items.  Lunchtimes are always great for spell work. Find a quiet spot where you can concentrate; this may take some getting used to but it will become more natural the more that you practice.

⭐ If you share a house with friends or flatmates who take up a lot of your time and personal space, it may be awkward explaining that you need quiet time to concentrate on something that they may not understand. You could lie and say that you need privacy for a phone call or to practice meditation but it’s often better to be honest with people and explain what you are actually doing. That way they won’t think that you just don’t want them around. Again, it’s easier said than done, but if you treat your faith as a completely normal thing to you and don’t make a big deal out of it, it’s usually received in the same way.

🌙 Restrictions By Tenancy Or Household Rules

⭐ If your tenancy agreement doesn’t allow lit candles, this can be incredibly difficult as many spells require them. Even casting circles or divination can sometimes benefit from the use of candles. You need to remember that Witchcraft and magic are all about working with what you’ve got. It’s about using what is at hand and about your intent, not about items that you have purchased. For example, if you feel like you need items that represent fire, incense can often substituted , as can herbs that you can burn and some crystals . If you are not allowed to burn anything indoors, you can always just use visualization and concentration: all you really need for a spell is yourself!

⭐ Also, living in the city, it is unlikely that you will be allowed to or have space to have bonfires for celebrations. A wood burner or a fireplace that you are permitted to use is a good substitute. These can both be used in spells that incorporate burning and for festivities on the Sabbats.

Ostara French Toast & Tea Infused Syrup

Hi lovelies! I hope you’re having a wonderful day/night! I have decided to make another Ostara recipe. This is based off of my mother’s French Toast recipe. Remember to have fun with cooking! You don’t have to follow this recipe exact, experiment and have a good time! Please let me know what you all think! I’d love to hear your feedback! On to the recipe!

🌸Ingredients for French Toast:

🍞1 pan that can fit at least two pieces of bread. A griddle works well too 🍞1-2 sticks of butter 🍞A half a loaf of bread. I use Texas Toast. Any bread will do. 🍞2 eggs 🍞4 cups milk 🍞A LARGE splash of vanilla extract 🍞A little bit of almond extract

🌸Ingredients for Syrup:

🍞3-4 cups of your favorite syrup 🍞3 lavender tea bags (you can use dried lavender or other herbs and spices, about 3 Tbs total) 🍞Pot to hold everything 🍞Cheese cloth or tea infuser of using loose herbs

🌸Instructions for French Toast:

🍞Turn pan onto low- medium low heat 🍞Whisk eggs, milk and extracts together. 🍞Soak 1-2 pieces of bread at a time 🍞Add butter to the pan 1-2 tbs and let melt 🍞Add bread to the pan, brown on one side, flip, and brown on the other 🍞Soak your next batch while browning the first 🍞 in-between batches, of your butter turns brown, wipe it off and add more. 🍞Continue reading this until they are all browned. Then serve

🌸Instructions for Syrup:

🍞Add herbs and syrup to pot over medium-low heat 🍞Let come to a simmer then remove 🍞 Let steep for 20 min or more 🍞Serve with French Toast

Okay guys I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to have fun! If you make this, I’d love to see and hear about it!

witchy grimoire ideas🌙🌹

for those of you that do not know, a grimoire is a book/collection of information regarding your craft. these are just basic topics you can mention, however, your path is yours and it is beautiful regardless. another disclaimer: your grimoire doesn’t have to be flashy and ancient looking. it can be a composition notebook. it can be a collection of paper held together by staples. as long as it is functional, it just as valid. because you put the time and the positive energy into making it.

grimoire ideas

🌞your beliefs 🌙any daily rituals 🌞written spells 🌙moon phases 🌞info on herbs 🌙herb correspondances 🌞chakras 🌙auras 🌞color correspondances               🌙divination 🌞moon water 🌙sun water 🌞mythology 🌙tea magic 🌞constellations 🌙dream log 🌞a list of elements 🌙essential oils 🌞oil correspondences 🌙spirits 🌞crystal correspondences

remember, this is just a list of things you can write! there are far more things. if anyone would like to suggest something to add to the list, just let me know <3. much love, –mikey

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac except it’s playing through your car’s old radio cassette player as you drive alone through the desert at night. As far as you can tell, the nearest human life has got to be wherever that distant thunder is rolling in.

Trans Disabled Witch Needs Help

Hey witchblr,

I know I’m not incredibly well known through the witchcraft community, but I really need help.

Since February I’ve been experiencing PTSD related seizures that have essentially rendered me completely disabled and nearly completely bed ridden most days. I’m no longer legal to drive or safe to be alone for long periods of time, I’ve had to quit working almost entirely, and I depend completely on my partners. Soon I’m going to be wearing one of these to track my heart because I’ve been having serious palpitations and issues regarding my heart. Just this Wednesday I was in the ER for what could have been a heart attack.

image

Recently things took a sharp downhill swing, and I’m in need of some serious help. My medical debt is skyrocketing from trips to the ER, to weekly therapy sessions that I can’t keep up with. My living situation is also a toxic mess that I need out of asap, my home is no longer safe for me. I realized I can’t explain in detail but will answer all private PMs on the subject.

I’ve started a gofundme to help myself get out of the toxic (literally and figuratively) housing situation I’m in. If you don’t feel comfortable using gofundme, my paypal is etjernety@hotmail.com

Edit: I want to make it clear that any funds donated would go towards my medical bills/debt, the therapy I need, and living expenses.

Fuckboy Repelling Potion

Fuckboy Repelling Potion

A spell to get rid of unwanted courters.

What you will need:

-Poppy seeds

-Cloves

-Hibiscus petals

-Rosemary

-Goldenrod stems (to stir)

-Sumac

-Rose thorn

-Apple seeds

What you shall do:

Bring water to a boil in either a cauldron or a wax warmer. Throw in your ingredients, except the goldenrod, one at a time in the order of the incantation:

By sumac, I poison thy heart,

By rose thorn, I prick thy eye,

By rosemary, I put up a fight,

By poppy, your feelings I thwart,

By hibiscus, your ply I quiet,

By clove, I harken you stop,

By apple, I shall riot.

Stir the whole counter-clockwise with the goldenrod, and 8 times clockwise. Let cool, and bottle with one part alcohol and 3 parts brew.

How to use it:

Rub on your wrists when faced with an unwanted courter. Alternatively, soak their picture in the solution. You can also annoint a black candle with the brew and carve the subject into the base.
