Gondor needs no king(2024.4.30)

They Rolls up into a Ball…
"ohh thorin trusts Bilbo above his own family and kin because he just loves him sooo much because I think romantic love is superior to any other form of love" or maybe it was he was experiencing a severe episode of paranoid psychosis and he implicitly trusted Bilbo because he was the only person in the Company who didn't have any preexisting, longstanding loyalities to him (as a King or brother-in-arms or Family or otherwise) and followed him purely out his own desire to and he saw Bilbo stay by his side even after his contract had ended even though he knew how much he wanted to go home (and had every reason to at that point). maybe it was because he knew Bilbo would had nothing to gain by betraying him (re: no birthright to the crown, no desire for riches or property, etc). Maybe he believed he could confide into Bilbo because he felt like he felt like he wasn't responsible for his safety in the same way he felt responsible for his nephews or his kin (as their King), and he no longer need to mantain any sort of formalities or barriers with him (because Thorin is not. his. King).
sorry I just refuse to believe Thorin doesn't love his nephews as much as he loves Bilbo (someone who he'd only known for 6~ months at that point) and I think there's a lot of better ways to explain his behavior here
How to tell someone you're asexual:
"I'm asexual" ❌️
This is boring and not everyone will get what you mean
My blood line shall end at me" 👍
This makes you seem super cool and makes your point well
"The blood of my ancestors will cease when I eternally rest for I have no intention to breed" ✅️
Makes you seem Shakespeare-esque and articulates your point well 🧐
happy holidays to those who haven't felt the holiday spirit in years

You're welcome, also, hi
Someone: Avians have natural physical prowess and a dance-like grace.
Various songs of crashing, things clanging against each other and something heavily colliding with the floor.
Someone: Oh, hi Virgil.
Once both of the Black parents die, Regulus becomes Lord Black. And boy, does he use his power.
First act: convince the love of his life (Remus) and his disowned, disgraceful brother (Sirius) to move in with him.
It takes him a while, but they eventually agreed. He feels a bit bad that for Remus it was more a case of nobody wanting to rent to a werewolf, never mind hiring one, so he wouldn’t even have money for a flat.
Sirius joined his best friend to make him feel more comfortable, as it is still a big step to move in with your boyfriend.
Of course, Walburga had that awful portrait made, and she started screeching the second she saw those two come in, with the others chiming in.
What none of them expect, not even Remus and Sirius, was how Regulus reacted.
Sure, they kind of knew he wouldn’t stand for it now he was finally free of his parents, and maybe lock the portrait in the attic.
But no.
He fucking incinerated the portrait of his mother, a slightly unhinged glee in his eyes.
After that, all portraits shut up. Some even warmed up to the newcomers, once they saw how intelligent and hardworking Remus was, and Sirius… well, he was still a Black.
Only once the same thing happened, when one relative mumbled something about the disgrace of a Black marrying a creature.
That was the last time the portraits even though of saying something, watching horrified as the oldest one of them went up in flames.
It’s been a journey
he's judging you
