I like to think that Stanley used to process things through play and art. I headcanon he was one to scribble out in random pieces of papers, tiny poems and drawings and so on and eventually made a little journal with them.

Unfortunately, some things don't change even when he gets his happy ending.

Went looking through old Gravity Falls videos and found a live script reading by the original voice actors :D
