"You're back." He whispered as he felt your fingers brush his eyelids.

He was sitting on the floor, leaning onto the bed with his head just slightly tilted onto the bed. His feet were both still planted on the ground as he rested both hands on his knees.

"Hmhmm, you must be really tired. Did you miss me?" You asked with a smile on your face, hands brushing through his hair.

"I missed you so much." He said, followed by a long sigh.

You let out a small chuckle as you moved, lying on your stomach with your head right beside his ear. You planted a soft kiss on his ear and his neck before burrying your face in his shoulder.

"Don't push yourself too much, Yuuta."

"I'm not pushing myself too far."

"You're tired. You need to rest, you know? Even special grades need a break every now and then." You said as your arms made its way around his neck, hanging right in front of his chest. He grabbed your hands and gently pat them, holding them before kissing your fingers.

"You know, it's getting dark. You haven't had dinner, have you?" You asked.

"That can wait." He said as he pulled your arms, so you'd hold him tighter.

"Yuuta..."

"Don't. Just let us enjoy the moment."

"I love you, you know that, right? You really need to take care of yourself better."

He let out a hum of acknowledgement, but kept his eyes closed as he enjoyed the sensation of your hair brushing his neck and cheek, your face burried in the crook of his neck, and your arms holding him close. He never wanted the moment to end. Ever.

"Open your eyes, Yuuta." You whispered.

Yuuta opened his eyes, you were right, it was getting dark. He straightened his back and felt his sore muscles, he'd been sitting on the floor for too long.

He looked up to his desk, a poster stuck on the wall, right above his mini collection of mangas. You were there, smiling brightly. He couldn't help but smile as he looked at you. You were someone he'd protect with his all, someone he'd love with everything he had. If only the two of you existed in the same universe, he'd make sure your life was beautiful and safe, far away from the troubles you had to go through. He'd make sure you never had to cry alone from those painful events in your life.

And you'd do the same. You'd comfort him everytime he had a bad day, and you'd remind him to eat or clean up. You'd hug him tightly and run your hair through his hair. You'd be the perfect lover, and so would he.

"I wish you were real, Y/N." He said, mostly to himself and the empty room he called his home.

I wish we live in the same universe, where we'd be able to love each other and have our happy ever after. He said in his heart, not letting his mouth speak those words aloud.

"But, you're not real."
