@justwritingscibbles @the-wild-ego @freckled-words @septicart-appreciation Why does a Marvin and Anti fusion look so good???? (Or Anti possessing the magician? I dunno i just like to draw man)
twitter canceled
(Because I’ve seen this guy everywhere! I want to fall down the rabbit-hole as well! And thank you too @magic-marvin-protection-patrol for inspiring me with the ask I saw on your blog!
I’ve seen that Rob was created by Malvin the Magician? I’m unsure of it, but he was a magic trick gone wrong? Or Malvin tried to revive Jack after Anti killed him? Not sure! But there’s a semi back story!)
- The guy has a stomach of steel. He will eat anything and everything. Rotting meat, fresh produce; I’m pretty sure some of the other egos have seen him try to chomp down on a shoe once.
- He’s constantly hungry, but if he eats too much his stomach will start to swell and then he barfs it back up. You’ll have to hurry him away before he starts trying to eat that too.
- Despite his Zombie appearance, Rob is actually quite intelligent. But sometimes, when he’s really hungry or sleepy, he’ll start moaning and stare off into the distance. Non-blinking and wide-eyed.
- If he stays like this for too long, he’ll start wandering off aimlessly. Running into things and chasing after bright lights or very noisy objects.
- Anti found him trying to chase a firefly in the backyard one night. Then proceeded to tease the zombie with a laser-pointer.
- Chase has a harness and a leash so he can take Rob out on walks when he’s hungry.
- Chase constantly has to pull Rob out of trashcans and pull on the leash to stop him from chasing any animals they come across.
- He bruises almost instantly and can be harmed easily. If he bumps into a particularly sharp corner of a table, his skin will tear. Doctor Sneeplestein is quick to patch him up before Rob makes it worse.
- Because of his lack of nerve endings and general heart-beat; Rob can’t feel pain. And due to his easily torn skin and ligaments, he can actually tear off his limbs and throw them at people.
-”Hey Rob, can you give me a hand with this?” Pans over to Rob smirking as he twists his wrist and tears off his hand, throwing it at JackaboyMan. “Not what I meant!”
- He gets easily confused though. If you talk too fast or move too quickly, Rob will ask you to repeat yourself. His brain is a little mushy due to, you know, being dead.
- Anti and Rob have scaring competitions to see who can make the other egos scream the loudest. So far Anti is winning due to his unfair advantage of “Horror Movie Night” and Malvin pretty much use to Rob’s attempts at scaring him.
- After-all, Malvin did create him and the two were stuck with each other until Rob escaped and the other egos discovered him.
- Rob is generally a nice guy. Can sometimes get grumpy due to his hunger, but he likes to joke and laugh just as anyone else.

Also I saw around that one of the kids name is Grayson. And I think thats really cute. So I’m sticking with that name and also Mae as the second kid. And thank you to @some-dark-side-writing for proof reader the draft.
Warnings: blood, bits of flesh
“See! I told you! There are always after credits clips.” Grayson exclaimed, which was probably the fourth time after you left the theatre. He burst out into the fresh air and pretended to do a victory dance on the side walk.
“Ok, ok! I get it. You’re right and I was wrong.” Mae muttered irritably. She was rugged up against the night air. Wrapping her scarf around her neck as Grayson beamed smugly.
You chuckled as the two bickered. Glad they could have a little normalcy. It was the first time you’ve seen them this relaxed in a while. Even with tonight; they were acting like normal siblings.
You sighed and looked up at the sky. It was cloudy tonight, you noted. But the grey cover was thin enough to let the moon’s light filter through in streams of silver. You used to think a full moon was beautiful. But now it was still pretty, but with a side serving of uncertainty. Feeling a tug on your coat, you tore your gaze away from the sky to Mae’s soft smile.
“I thought you promised Dad you wouldn’t worry.” She said. Her big eyes bringing out another chuckle from you.
Damn this girl caught on quick.
“Just like your, Dad. Nothing gets past you.” You tapped her nose playfully and shrugged. “I know I promised. I got through the movie, didn’t I?”
“I saw you checking your phone every half an hour.” Grayson butted in. Stuffing his hands in his pockets and sharing his sister’s reassuring smile. “Dad will be fine. He’s managed before without someone looking after him.”
Some part of you wanted to protest. To run home and check on Chase. But you did promise all three of them that you would try to stay unfazed and certain in Chase’s independence.
“You’re right. I’m sorry for being such a worry-wart.” You frowned when the siblings laughed. “Hey! What’s so funny?”
“Nothing. Nothing.” Mae tried to hide her smile. But was beaten by another set of giggles. “Ok. Dad told us that he thinks it’s cute when you do that.”
“Do what?” You asked but Grayson shrugged. His lips tightly locked. “You two are going to tell me. Or else I won’t buy you ice-cream.”
The two shared mocking gasps of horror. Grayson started to make his lips tremble while Mae huffed and crossed her arms. “Fine. Then we’ll tell Dad you were begging us to come home. Crying and on your knees.”
It was your turn to gasp in shock. “Why you little trolls!”
Grayson and Mae giggled at your use of an insult. And it wasn’t long till you were laughing along with them. You could never be mad at these kids. They were sweet and kind. The first introduction had been a train-wreck. After accompanying Chase to a custody case interview to act as support, you had the very bad luck of running into Stacy. First seeing the kids and Chase had almost been in tears as they ran over to him. You respectfully stepped aside. Letting Chase get as much time in before the wicked witch herself appeared. And unfortunately, it had been an explosion of confrontation between you and that wretched woman. Firstly, keeping the kids away from Chase even when he had set visiting dates. Sending horrible messages to him and even threatening him! It was unacceptable and you had, had enough of her antics.
So, on the day you officially met Mae and Grayson, their ears had already been chewed off from their mother. Grayson had once mumbled an apology to you about how you had been treated. And Mae was terrified of you for the first few visits. It had taken months to cultivate even a spoken ‘thank you’ from Mae. And now, you were out on a movie night with them. Laughing and swapping banter like a family.
“Hey, uh (y/n)… do you think we can go home early?” Grayson seemed to be lost in thought after the three of you got ice-cream. You were about to take them to a late-night arcade for some last minute action before going home.
“Oh, sure! Is everything ok?” You asked, laying a concerned hand on Grayson’s shoulder.
Grayson glanced up at the sky before turning a silent answer to you. You smiled and squeezed his shoulder gently. “Alright. We can head home. Come on, Mae. I’ll take you tomorrow ok?”
Mae, who you could tell was already drowsy and ready to crash, nodded and took your hand. Letting you guide her onto the road and cross safely towards your car.
“Oh no.” Grayson whispered. His eyes blown wide at the sight before him. The flipped couch, the numerous claw marks on the wall and most worrying, the shredded paper scattered throughout the house. “H-How did Dad get out? We locked the door!”
“Shh, stay quiet.” You hushed Grayson’s tone a little. “Don’t wake Mae. See if you can find him while I put your sister to bed.”
Grayson glanced at Mae; sound asleep in your arms. Her head resting on your shoulder as you supported her legs around your waist. You would have felt bad waking her up just after she fell asleep in the car. She was too adorable and you were glad she was asleep. Chase didn’t need all three of you worrying over him.
Grayson picked his way through the mess. Tiptoeing over the shards of wood and paper before disappearing into the kitchen. You heard Grayson softly calling for his father as you climbed the stairs to the kid’s bedroom. The poor girl was out cold. And it took some skill to get her boots off without waking her. But you were very sure she was very deep in slumber. Mae didn’t even stir as you tucked her into bed. Pushing back her hair and murmuring ‘good night’. Stalling by her bed to turn on the night light before turning to leave.
“(Y/N)! DAD GOT OUT!” Grayson’s panicked cry had you sprinting through the house to the backdoor. Grayson stood by the broken doorway. Shivering as he called out for his Dad into the darkness. You stepped outside and looked around the yard. The sensor light burst to life and you felt your stomach drop with dread. A dark patch of red stained the ground. A fallen bat, broken in two, lay in the torn up garden. And the fence, leading to the park behind your home, was broken. Like a bull hard charged into it. You felt Grayson come up beside you, clutching your arm tightly, when a loud, sickening scream echoed from somewhere nearby.
“Grayson, go inside and stay with your sister. Call Henrik and Marvin.” You nudged the boy towards the house. He shot one last glance at you and his face paled of color.
“(Y/N) behind you!” His shrill scream was enough to give you a guess as to what was behind you.
You turned slowly. Keeping your hands open and in sight at all times as you came face to face with Chase. He was full wolf. Something you haven’t seen in a long time. Normally, Chase would grow fur and his fangs would grow through his gums. Maybe add a few inches to his body and have a more beastly look to him. But tonight, something had upset Chase to the point of leaving all humanity behind. He had grown a full foot through the transformation. With thick dark fur and claws that made knives look like blunt. In this state, the only hint of a person inside this body of supernatural muscle, was the bright blue eyes. Watching you with a glow of uncertainty. Chase crouched down in front of you. His ears perked forwards as his claws brushed against your hand.
“What happened, Chase?” You asked. Your gaze fixed on the blood around his muzzle. “H-How did you get out?”
Chase didn’t answer. It was foolish of you to try and get a reply. Chase only responded to simple commands. Even then, he was a beast. Not a pet.
A sound behind the two of you startled Chase. His ears pressed back against his head and he growled a warning. It was quickly cut off when Grayson fell back in shock. Having accidentally kicked a piece of wood, he apologised profusely and you placed a hand on Chase’s chest. Soothingly stroking through his fur as you murmured soft words.
“It’s just Grayson. It’s ok, Chase.” You did this till Chase’s gaze was set back on you. Given the chance, Grayson scrambled to his feet and ran into the house. You heard him shut the bedroom door and you breathed a sigh of relief knowing he was away from Chase. Now you could focus on keeping Chase calm.
The blue in his eyes was flaked with amber from the change. But it was a sign that he was slowly coming back to earth. You were glad he returned home, but you might have to go looking for whatever (or whoever) he killed. “Come on. I think you need to go to bed.”
Chase huffed and looked back to the broken fence. Licking his lips as he sniffed the air. You tugged gently on his fur, moving your hand to his giant one and leading him inside. It was a miracle Chase had the sense to squeeze and wriggle into the house. He had already damaged most of the furniture. And the walls were scratched and dented in places.
“Honestly, Chase. We might have to get you an outside bunker or something.” You muttered in exasperation. This all meant there was more work to be done and more money to go back into repairs. You had just fixed the porch from last time!!
Chase whimpered softly and nuzzled your arm. Leaving a red smear there as he did. You tried not to think too much of it, he was trying to apologise Sensing your worry and anger. You smiled a small grin and scratched the tip of his nose. “I think you need to be cleaned up first.”
Leading Chase down into the basement, you made note of all the repairs you’d need to do. You were already strained for money as it is. But this was definitely going to put a hole in your wallet. Once Chase was downstairs, and on the king-sized bed on the floor, you grabbed a bucket and cloth. Filling it with water and crouching by Chase’s curled up form to start cleaning his muzzle. Already half asleep, Chase let you wet his muzzle with no fuss. His half closed eyes watching your every move as you went back and forth from the sink. Emptying the red water down the drain and getting a fresh cloth. Once you got his muscle semi-clean, you started on his hands. His claws had bits of fabric caught on the tips. Blood soaked his fur and it took all of your self-control not to puke up the popcorn and ice-cream after peeling some flesh from his claws.
“God I hope whoever this was, was at least not linked to us.” You knew it was a horrible thing to say. But you couldn’t have Chase in anymore trouble. Stacy was throwing up a storm about Chase being late to a few visits. And her lying bitch-ass had spread horrible rumours. If Chase was roped in as a suspect to a murder, it would be all downhill. Not to mention the bat in the garden, the blood and the massive hole in the fence. There were so many questions. So many pieces of evidence you’d need to remove by tomorrow morning.
Feeling Chase’s hand grow heavier, you looked over at him and found his eyes fully closed. Heavy breaths caused his chest to rise and fall in steady, but rumbling snores. You carefully laid his hand back on the bed and took the water to the sink to be emptied. You would deal with the bloody sheets tomorrow. But right now, you needed to clean up after Chase.
Somewhere near 8 o’clock, Chase woke to a police siren whirring somewhere in the area. The piercing sounds made him groan in annoyance and stuff a pillow over his head. To a normal person, they would not be able to hear it. But to him, it was like an annoying buzzing fly. Growling, Chase threw down the pillow and got up. Slipping on the pair of pj shorts you had left the night before. Kicking back the sheets as he did. Chase didn’t notice the red that stained the bed, but the stench of blood was strong enough to make him panic.
“GRAYSON? MAE? (Y/N)! WHERE-” Chase sprinted upstairs. Calling out for his children and you in his terrified panic. But he was harshly shushed by Mae as he burst into the living room. His body sagged in relief to seeing all three of his loved ones safe and sound. However, seeing you limp against the coffee table caused him to frown. He stepped closer. The reeking odour of chemicals made his nose curl in disgust.
“We think she cleaned everything up last night.” Grayson whispered. Having laid a blanket over your shoulders and moving the cleaning materials away from your hands. “We came home to a big mess… and also some…” Grayson glanced at Mae, unsure if he should continue. But Chase didn’t need him to say anything. He could put the pieces together. And the memories from last night, even though they were foggy, were together enough for him to make sense of them.
“Gray, could you make Mae some breakfast? I’m gonna put, (y/n) to bed.” Chase ruffled Grayson’s hair affectionately. Briefly making sure his hand was free of blood before doing so. The boy nodded and ushered Mae into the kitchen. Which smelt strongly of bleach and soap. But it was clean at least. Chase crouched down beside you and slid his arms under your body. Easily carrying you up the stairs and into your bedroom.
“Do you remember who it was?” Your voice came as a surprise to Chase. Your eyes fighting sleep to open and look at Chase as he nodded. A flash of amber glinting across his eyes.
“Stacy’s boyfriend came to visit. Brought a bat too. He didn’t get a chance to explain why before I tore into him.” Chase didn’t like the memory that flashed across his mind. The blood and the warmth it’s splatter brought. The heavy crack of the bat landing against his snout and the side of his head. You haven’t said anything, but Chase could feel the bruise that coloured his right eye.
“Do you remember anything else?” You asked. Chase breathed a heavy breath. Setting you down on the blankets of your bed and tucking you under the blankets. The last thing he remembered was the bat breaking between his jaws and the sensation of his talon tearing into the man’s arm.
“No. Nothing else.” Chase sat by your waist and hid his face behind his hands. “I’m done. They’re gonna find the body and-”
“Shh, no it’s ok.” You were quick to try and comfort Chase. Despite your fatigue, you sat up and wrapped your arms around Chase. “When it comes to our door, we’ll deal with it. But right now, the gossip is that a pack of dogs killed someone. They don’t know who it is.”
Chase gripped his hair tight. Almost to the point of ripping it out of his scalp. “But (y/n)-”
“Grayson and Mae know what you are and they still love you. Even if you are torn away from them, they won’t blame you. Nothing that they hear or told will alter that ok?” You rubbed his arms and wrapped him up in a tight hug. Feeling his body tremble as he held back a distressed sob. “I promise everything will be alright. Breath, Chase. Breath.”
In. Out. In. Out.
Chase followed your breathing checks until he was calm enough to return your embrace. The two of you stayed like that for a moment. Letting one another lean on each other and soaking up the silence. Until Chase spoke. His voice a deep growl against your shoulder.
“He wanted to hurt me. Hurt you.” You tightened your hold on Chase as he shifted to hold you better. “He was drunk, I think. The bat… I don’t want to think about it. But he said something about Stacy… and how she was better with me dead.”
Your hands balled into fists. But you had to stay calm. For Chase. For the kids.
“He’s gone now. And your only worry is keeping yourself and the kids safe. They need you-”
“And you.” Chase rumbled. “I’m going to keep you safe too. Mae and Grayson need you as well. You’ve been an amazing step-parent. Despite what you think. And… I can’t thank you enough. For helping me.”
You smiled and squeezed Chase. Burrowing your face in the crook of his neck as he nuzzled your temple. His breath fanning over your cheek as he pressed a gentle kiss into your hair. “Now. You get some rest, and I’ll bring you some food later.” You chuckled when Chase hinted at his “dad” voice. Releasing you after one final tight embrace and tucking the blankets back around you.
“Sweet dreams, (y/n).” Chase murmured. Flashing you a warm smile as he closed the door.
