Always make dua for yourself that your intentions always remain sincere and all your good deeds actually be written as good deeds.
“Music is not a remedy, it is a disease.”
[Sheykh Ibn Baaz: Majmoo al-Fatawa, 9|429]
Infant: too young to remember Allah
Teenager: too much study to remember Allah
Young adult: too entertained to remember Allah
Wedding day: too happy to remember Allah
Family: too busy to remember Allah
Work: too many worries to remember Allah
Sick: too unwell to remember Allah
Old age: too old to remember Allah
Death: too LATE to remember Allah!
Just remember that Jannah is your ultimate goal. So if you can do that many good deeds.. then at least try staying away from the bad deeds and if you do slip then do know that Allah’s doors of repentance are always open.
Shaykh Sālih Al-'Uthaymīn رحمه الله stated:
"Take from the Dunyā that which is permissible for you and don't forget your portion from it. However, place it in your hand and not in your heart, and this is what is important (in life)."
[Sharh Riyādus-Sālihīn 3/369]
