It just works 😭 and it’d be so goddamn funny like Superman walks in on Kon kissing Tim and has to system restart bc 1-kon likes boys??? (He wore a leather jacket and had earrings in the 90’s ,,, he likes boys) 2-wasn’t he kissing Cassie last week??? Flash walks in on bart and Cassie doing Something and is So Confused bc he swears he saw Bart and Tim holding hands last week Wonder Woman walks in on Tim and Cassie snuggled on the couch together and has to do a system reboot bc she knows for a fact Cassie and Kon kissed like 2 days ago
Look I’m just saying canonically pretty much every pairing that could’ve happened DID happen in young justice and it would Make more sense for them to be a polycule-
Do you have any other thoughts on your Cole who trained under Yang? I’m super interested in him!
hi!! ah that is a good question, I honestly do need to think about his AU more lol. heres some thoughts I have floating around
-he ran away from the boarding school just barely after getting there. He was a lot sloppier than in canon too, so Lou did get called to say he was gone. He's a missing child.
-he doesn't age! after he became a ghost (which, fun fact was not on purpose on Yang's side) he's stayed the same age <- which is 14 years old.
-he isn't bound to the temple.
-he's good at martial arts and airjitzu but his control over his element is very shaky. It's not something Yang ever focused on.
-He meets the ninja during possession, gets them the scroll, and joins their fight (against Yang's wishes) but doesn't join their team (yet)
i'm not paralyzed, but i seem to be struck by you, i wanna make you move because you're standing still 🎸
there's something to be said about the choice to use "prince" as the main signifier of military rank for the andalites. because it kinda obscures the truth of the situation, doesn't it? a group of kids getting magic powers from an alien prince sounds whimsical and delightful. a group of kids getting pulled into a war by an alien colonel sounds tragic and horrible. the slow reveal of what "prince" actually means over the course of the early books is perhaps the most underrated twist of the entire series, because it fundamentally recontextualizes the entire premise of the series without the reader even consciously realizing it.
