A while back, I had the idea of Bleck’s crew being their own “Elite Four” (with Bleck as the champion) and decided to make the old-school sprites (based on the Gameboy Pokemon games) to match. Since then, I’ve decided to work through requests and my own whims to make a lot of other Paper Mario characters in this style. I’ve never really done pixel art, so it’s been a lot of fun and I’ve learned so much! But right now I’m going to rest on this series for now and move onto something else. Almost all of these fit within the size constraints of the original Pokemon sprites, but I wasn’t holding myself to the same standards on some of the earlier ones, so they might be a wee bit too wide or tall. There are rumours floating around that a new Paper Mario for the Wii U is in development. I started joking about it and then that turned into me giving my own ideas and wishes…. Then I got super carried away and this drawing happened. I guess I’d want a mishmash of every Mario RPG. Also yes that is a boxer Daisy with Banzai Bill boxing gloves.

Peach:They just don't make ominous disasters like they used to. Toad: Wish THEY knew that.

Luigi: Took you long enough! Toad: Oh, sure, blame the short guy! Mario: Let’s-a Go!

Toad: 'Join the Mushroom Retainers!' they said. 'YOU'LL FLY FOR FREE!' THEY SAID.

Toad: But Luigi! How much wood COULD a woodchuck chuck?

Luigi: Don’t be fooled, young Toad! Woodchucks can’t chuck wood!
