sam called them and said “hey sorry to call you out of the blue but i’ve got new info on quinn”, noticed their voice was strained, and when he found out why insisted on coming over to help them.

he literally said “what exactly did you plan on doing if i hadn’t called when i did?”

THEY DIDNT CALL HIM. THEY DIDNT MAKE THE FIRST MOVE.
