A Mother’s Plea: Help Us Survive and Protect My Unborn Child

A Mother’s Plea: Help Us Survive And Protect My Unborn Child

My name is Sahar. Like any young woman, I dreamed of a stable and happy life. I was engaged to Mohammad, and together, we dreamed of building a warm little home where we could start our life. We spent years preparing our house, but just before our wedding, everything was destroyed in an instant by the war.

I was faced with a choice: to leave Mohammad in the midst of this chaos or to stand by him and begin our journey together, no matter how difficult it might be. I chose him. We got married, not in the dream wedding I had envisioned, but under the harsh reality of war. Our new home became a fragile tent, offering neither comfort nor security.

A Mother’s Plea: Help Us Survive And Protect My Unborn Child

Today, I am seven months pregnant and living in constant fear for my unborn daughter. I am terrified of the world she will be born into—a world of poverty, hunger, and freezing cold. We’ve been displaced over nine times, carrying nothing but the weight of loss and the hope for survival. The house we dreamed of is now rubble, and the tent we live in barely shields us from the rain and cold.

A Mother’s Plea: Help Us Survive And Protect My Unborn Child

How will I protect my daughter? We struggle to find enough food. Basic necessities like milk, blankets, and clothing feel impossibly out of reach. The cost of survival has become unbearable. Every night, I am haunted by the thought: how can I bring her into this world, knowing I cannot keep her safe?

I write to you with a heavy heart, pleading for help. I don’t ask for much, just the chance to give my daughter a safe beginning, a life with warmth and dignity. Every small donation can be a lifeline for us, and even sharing our story can make a difference. Please, help us survive this storm and rebuild our shattered lives.

After experiencing complications with gofundme, Mohiy and his family are now relying on paypal to receive donations. Please support his family through the link above and share.

Most of the funds Mohiy was able to raise on gofundme have gone towards his family's survival. With the rising costs of goods, they need continued support to be able to meet their most basic needs. Resources are scarce and expensive as it is, but winter has added to the suffering of everyone in Gaza, making the needs for things like warm food, warm clothes, and shelter even greater as cold and rain worsen already dangerous living conditions. Mohiy's mother, who suffers from chronic illness, is especially vulnerable right now due to the freezing temperatures.

Please donate and share to help offer Mohiy and his family some relief. Every contribution helps, no matter how small.

Hello,

My name is Ahmed, and my wife Hadeel and I are from Gaza. We are living a life full of suffering amid an ongoing war, having lost our home and source of livelihood. We are now living in a small tent, and Hadeel is five months pregnant. As winter approaches, our suffering intensifies due to the cold and the devastation surrounding us.

We urge you to help us secure our basic needs and move to a safe place. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference in our lives.

You can donate via the link: [https://gofund.me/3768222a]

Thank you so much for your support and generosity.

Imagine you are a doctor from a war-torn region. You had to make the choice between doing your job saving others, and saving your own family.

This is Dr. Mohammed Al-Deeb’s story.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Deeb was an emergency medical professional at Al-Shifa hospital for many, many years. Following the destruction of Al-Shifa, Dr. Al-Deeb continued to do heroic work on the front lines in Gaza, trying to save as many people as he possibly could.

But having his own family to save, he had to make the difficult decision to leave Gaza and flee to Egypt with his family. Dr. Al-Deeb is now asking us to pay that bravery and kindness forward.

Although safer than Gaza, Egypt is not a welcoming place for Palestinian refugees. Egypt has a decades-long policy of discriminating against Palestinians in education, social services, and employment, and many refugees struggle with the precarity of their legal status in the country.

This makes it incredibly difficult for Dr. Al-Deeb to provide for his family. He is asking for donations to be able to provide for his family the basic necessities that many of us have taken for granted.

As we sit comfortably in our own homes, especially during this time of year in the midst of the holidays, I ask of you to put yourself in the shoes of those who are not comfortable, those who are not safe. Dr. Al-Deeb needs your help, and if every person reblogging this donated only $1, $5, whatever you can—although it can feel sometimes that you’re just one person and the weight of the world is ovebearing—if everyone took just a fraction of their resources to do their part, we can make a difference, together. 🙏

You can donate to Dr. Mohammed Al-Deeb’s GoFundMe [HERE].

Imagine waking up one day to the sound of bombs tearing through your neighborhood, the walls around you shaking as your entire world crumbles. The home where you once felt safe, where your child’s laughter echoed through the halls, is now nothing more than rubble. The memories, the dreams, the sense of security—vanished in an instant.

@gazasparkle

Story written by @rumiandroses

This is the heartbreaking reality that Ragheb, Reem, and their five-year-old son, Taim have been enduring for over a year. Before the war, they were a happy family, building a future in northern Gaza. But after relentless bombardment by occupation forces, they have lost everything—their home, their livelihoods, their sense of normalcy. They have been displaced more than six times, constantly fleeing in search of safety, only to find themselves trapped in a cycle of destruction and fear that is completely out of their control.

On November 18th, they experienced a nightmare that no family should ever endure. Trapped for 12 agonizing hours under relentless airstrikes, they watched in horror as the upper floors of their relative’s building were obliterated. Five members of their family perished that day. Ragheb, in a desperate attempt to escape, was injured. His foot remains untreated, the pain exacerbated by malnutrition and the lack of medical care. Each day is a battle for survival.

With no stable shelter, food, or access to medical aid, they were forced to grind grains and even resort to eating animal feed just to survive. The situation is only worsening. Their only hope now is to leave Gaza—to escape the unbearable conditions and start anew in Egypt. But the cost of crossing the border is $5,000 per person, an impossible sum for a family that has already lost everything.

This family needs your help. Every donation, no matter how small, brings them one step closer to safety, one step closer to rebuilding their shattered lives. Your support will provide them with food, medical aid, and the ability to escape the horrors of war. If you are unable to donate, sharing their story helps to amplify their voices to help reach someone who can.

You can donate to Ragheb and Reem’s GoFundMe campaign [HERE].
