For the incident that took the life of Alton Sterling, I am truly appalled and disgusted by the injustice of this innocent man. When will the killing, the slaughtering, and the death of black me- I'm sorry, of black people? When will someone's name becomes a hash tag on social media end? This generation of black youth and young adults needs to step up but your fear and ignorance will allow us as a race to be eradicated. Honey Vanilla Peach Butter 🍑

- another harvest for lammas, I felt a sweeter more smooth butter would be a better aid for the season coming! -

ingredients

yields 3 4oz jars

• 10-15 large peaches, pitted and sliced but not skinned

• 2 cups of sugar

sweetening, comfort

• 3/4 cup of honey

• 3 vanilla beans

directions

• boil peaches for 15 to 20 minutes in a covered stock pot

• blend peaches into a puree and transfer to a separate stock pot, you may reuse the remaining water for another batch if desired

I personally use a handheld blender, but if desired you can use a regular blender or a food processor

• mix peach puree, honey, vanilla and sugar together

• boil the pot until the sugar melts completely and then simmer for around 60 minutes

• transfer butter to sterilized jars and boil jars in a hot water bath for 5 minutes.

Myanmar’s military declared a one-year state of emergency on Monday and appointed a general as acting president, after arresting civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other senior officials.
