You can't blame Merlin for calling Arthur a ‘Lazy-daisy’, if this is how Arthur looks like whenever he sleeps/wakes up:

Medieval Literature

Quote from the Vulgate Cycle, The Story of Merlin:

So the sword stayed there until Candlemas. Then the people were all gathered, and all who wanted underwent the test. When they had all tried it, the archbishop said, “It would be right for you to do the will of Jesus Christ. Go, dear son Arthur. If Our Lord wills you to be king and guardian of this people, show us."

And he went forward and pulled out the sword and gave it to the archbishop.

Educational/Informational Resources

Quote from The Arthurian Handbook by Norris J Lacy and Geoffrey Ashe:

This book is a critical survey of the Arthurian legend. It deals with all periods, from the fifth and sixth centuries through the Middle Ages and to the present, examining Arthurian origins, the development of the legend in chronicles and other sources, the interpretation of Arthurian themes in literature, and their treatment in the other arts.

We have tried to write for a broad audience, including students and the general reader who may be fascinated by King Arthur and eager to have more information about him. We hope, however, that the book will also be of interest to scholars. The breadth and brevity of our presentation will of course limit scholars' interest in regard to their own specialization, but we anticipate that they will find useful information about areas and aspects of Arthuriana with which they do not deal directly.

Today will be attempt 37 of trying to get something other than a bob.

You see, I have these duel curses and there are that 1. I'm apparently not enough of baddie to be given a not-bob and 2. that I belong in bob-jail for even asking.

Last time, I fought tooth and nail (asked very politely and over-explained myself and my choices) for an undercut that no one could even see under the bob I was given.

Wish me luck.

2: Discover. The Withermark, drawn on a brick wall
1: Backpack. A tired, unkempt Carpenter looks over her shoulder. She carries a backpack.
15: Guidebook. A book with the title "The Silt Verses - Vol. 7"
13: Sacrifice. Mallory Glass, who is a young child, peeks out from under a sackcloth.
11: Hunger. A gnarled tree, which has impaled a fox on its branches. The fox, in turn, holds a dead chicken in its jaw. Both of them are bleeding.
5: Binoculars. Faulkner looks at something through his binoculars while Carpenter, a bit to the back, holds hers and looks at him.
4: Exoskeleton. A crab with big eyes, wings and a halo.
23: Rust. Faulkner stares into a rusty tank of water.
18: Drive. Paige sits in a car, staring ahead wide-eyed while driving.
21: Overflow. Carpenter, seen from behind, flips off the oncoming flood.
16: Dirty. Carpenter shovels some dirt.
19: Rift. Faulkner and Carpenter stand opposite each other, looking at each other. Faulkner, whose hands and clothes are bloody, is about to press a button labeled "emergency".
26: Grave. Carpenter carries Faulkner's dead body into the river.
30: Hollow/Hallow. VAL, shown with a halo of barbed wire and a red throat lined with words.
8: Roots. Paige reaches forward, smiling and teary-eyed, with a crocus growing from her hand.
31: Landmark. A cairn of stone in front of a red river rushing towards a waterfall.

The Silt Verses were my biggest inspiration this Inktober, and I name it thus: Siltober

(the prompts are in the alt text if they're not in the image)
