I've been wanting to lose weight, so I signed up for one of those gyms where you can swap with the personal trainers and they'll work out for you. I've been really good about going, and Brian and I have started to develop a pretty good relationship. I love working out in his body, and I feel so strong like this. We were doing our normal workout, and I told him that I feel like I've been so consistent but not seeing progress recently. —————————————————————————————- It had been a pretty tough week trying to get back into the gym after a longer than intended break. Lately you’d felt more motivated due to all the images showing up in your feed of be buff guys showing off and you’d set out some small goals and began to work on them.

It was tough though, having a goal weight for an exercise but lifting 10 kilos lighter than you wanted was disheartening and an arrow to your pride. Saturday rolled around and you took a bigger hit than usual. A combination of a week of exhaustion and just not being as strong as you thought you were had you lifting even lighter than you did at the start of the week. That was it for today, you motivation and drive completely shot after one exercise. You promised yourself you’d find another way to get exercise in today but not the gym, you just weren’t feeling it. You picked up your gym bag and began to walk out. As you got to the entrance you were stopped by a big Arab guy around his mid 20s. He was huge standing about 6.6ft tall in with bulging muscles. He was no bodybuilder but the tight compression tee and shorts definitely made him look much larger and he was already much larger than you.

He broke the intimidating awkwardness with a smile,

“hey man, got a minute”

Before you had the chance to respond he had already handed you a couple packets of single serve samples. You thanked him and awkwardly stuff them in your gym bag before manoeuvring around the big guy blocking the door.

After you arrived home you felt hungry, it wasn’t time for a meal on your new plan yet but you needed to have something, a shake maybe, that would be the heathy choice but your vanilla whey from the grocery store tasted awful and you really only drake it out of necessity, but whist debating with yourself about if you wanted to subject yourself to the terrible taste of bland protein you remembered the samples you’d been given earlier. Pulling them out from your gym bag you read the label “Djinn Whey: Salted Caramel”. Well the branding seemed a bit on the nose of a supplement company run by an Arab family but the cartoon picture of a Djinn coming out of a protein shaker made you chuckle to yourself and you decided to give this new flavour a shot, hell surely anything would be better than that terrible bland supermarket vanilla.

You poured one of the sample packets into your shaker and screwed up your face, it was much clumpier than normal powder, a lot more dense. Even after trying to break it up with a spoon it still clumped together like magnetic sand but it didn’t seem like it had gone bad so you mixed it up with the right amount of water and prepared yourself for an awful tasting experience.

To your surprise the shake tasted incredible, it was sweet but with the right amount of saltiness to balance it out. Way better than the vanilla you’d been taking for the past week. You were shocked there was no sugar in this at all, who knew all natural stuff could taste this great. You were already hoping the guy who gave this to you would be at the gym on Monday so you could ask if it was being sold yet and if not ask for more samples. The amazing taste and refuelled your energy and motivation realising you still had about 2 hours before your next meal you thought it’d be a good idea to go for a swim at the beach as a way of getting some fun resistance training it to help build up your strength.

Once you arrived at the beach your confidence began to fold, seeing heaps of jacked tan guys walking around made you think it might be best just to keep your shirt on whilst swimming, but you were still determined to swim. You got in the water and began to just relax, treading in the calm ocean exercising and meditating at the same time. The water felt weird though, like the clumps of sea salt were digging directly into your pores. Your body felt itchy too, a strange sensation that you brushed off as sand moving across your body in the water. Something else felt weird, like butterflies in your stomach. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to start exercising right after drinking a thick protein shake. You told yourself you were just feeling bloated but, it didn’t feel like that. It was almost like as your muscles began to pump up from swimming the sensation was spreading from you stomach out to your whole body. we’re you really that calm you could feel the protein being absorbed straight into your muscles? no that’d be crazy. You looked at your body beneath the water and couldn’t make much out from how the water distorted you underneath it but you skin seemed….darker.

After an hour of casual exercise you couldn’t take it anymore, you were sore and your jaw line had become incredibly itchy which you thought was from the salt water and sand splashing against your face. As your placed your feet on the sand below and began to make your way out of the water you felt heavier, larger. Even your feet felt bigger. As you got closer and closer to the shore you could see more of your body above the water and something had definitely happened to you. It wasn’t the water distorting your body your body had actually changed, skin had become darker, dark hair had sprouted all over your body, your muscles miraculously inflated and that itching on you jaw wasn’t from salty water but instead a thick black beard. You’d somehow become a hot middle eastern jock.

You had no idea how this happened but you couldn’t deny you were actually excited about these changes. You rushed home to really take a look at all the changes.

After arriving home you thought a shower would be the best place to investigate what had happened and to wash all the salt and sand off your body.

Getting undressed you noticed your muscles were the only thing that had increased in size as you were now sporting a hefty 9inch softy. You were no longer embarrassed of failing your sets last Saturday, you were happy you did. If you hadn’t maybe you would have missed those free samples, and maybe you wouldn’t have transformed into this beautiful salty, musky Arab jock you now see in the mirror.
