Today's Mantra

Today's Mantra

You deserve a luxurious, high end lifestyle.

You are worthy of all the best things in life regardless of you’re upbringing or history.

Do not let your past dictate your future.

If you’ve settled before that’s ok promise yourself to NEVER do it again.

You deserve everything you want in life.

You deserve to be treated like a princess, you deserved to be spoiled, you deserve to have thousands of dollars spent on you simply BECAUSE YOU WANT IT.

Learn everything you need to know about the lifestyle you want and then go out and FUCKING GET IT.

placing vague conditions on your happiness is a sure way to always be chasing future things and never truly being happy

“if” i earn a certain amount of money then i will be happy

“if” i lose a certain amount of weight then i will be happy

“if” the weather is good today then i will be happy

carry your own weather around with you and learn to be happy with the existing conditions in your life

I've noticed that a lot of people are doing whatever they can to not acknowledge that Toyin was murdered by a Black man. That she was the victim of Black men throughout her life.

But we need to acknowledge that sexist violence is real. That many people who support Black men or are even anti-police brutality more broadly still will casually abuse, assault, and even murder Black women.

Black women are under attack within our own community. Just as women of all races are under attack by the men in their communities.

But if BLM as a social movement is going to work out we need to hold our community to a higher standard and actively address, call out, and correct the violence Black men impart on Black women.

That starts with naming the problem. And "good" Black men need to take the most active part in addressing the problem because it's their acquaintances, their brothers, friends, cousins, etc who are friendly and in solidarity with them all while they abuse every Black woman around them other than their momma who are the problem.

Police officer left out key facts in obtaining indictment of Breonna Taylor's boyfriend
Louisville Courier Journal
A Louisville Police sergeant who secured an indictment against Kenneth Walker for attempted murder failed to give the grand jury key informa

#JusticeForBreonnaTaylor

The police officers were at the wrong home, in the middle of the night, serving a no-knock warrant thinking they would find drugs at the residence (which they did not, as neither Kenneth nor Breonna were drug dealers, nor was their home a trap house). Kenneth was frightened and thought the house was being broken into, and he fired one shot thinking he was defending the lives of his girlfriend and himself. Breonna was then shot EIGHT times and passed away.

He was charged with the attempted murder murder of a police officer and assault, despite not knowing at the time that those were officers, not burglars breaking in (they were plain-clothed, and Breonna and Kenneth were innocent of any crime, so how would he know), and a police sergeant intentionally omitted that information in front of the grand jury. The sergeant also did not mention that Breonna was killed by police at the scene when they shot at the pair, in fact - she didn't even mention her existence, and her testimony played a crucial role in the grand jury choosing to charge Kenneth with what they did. Sergeant Amanda Seelye misled them severely.

Seelye also told the grand jury that officers knocked, repeatedly announced themselves and then procceeded to break the door open and were immediately met by gunfire, which has been disputed by SIX WITNESSES that say there was no knocking or announcing. The mentioned "gunfire" was a single bullet.

a lot of men say they want women to embrace their natural beauty but they really just want women who are already “pretty enough” without makeup to not wear makeup… like, you don’t want someone to show their natural acne and scars and natural hyper pigmentation, you don’t let women have their natural mustaches, chin hair, beards, and unibrows without shitting on them, which is exactly how they grow for a lot of people, etc. you want women to wax and shape their natural brows, remove their natural facial hair and body hair, and do a strict skincare regimen to manipulate the chemistry and physiological processes of their skin to maintain clear unblemished skin and adhere to already existing beauty standards. you just don’t want them to wear the style of makeup you don’t like lol
