Tumblr seriously you need to stop with the bigoted and idiotic blogs being recommended to me. I interact with them BECAUSE THEY’RE DOUCHEBAGS WHO NEED TO BE CALLED OUT FOR BIGOTRY. Can’t you cross-reference what I post about and not who I interact with?

Also, one can see post-mortem organ donation as a way to make his/her legacy live even after his/her death. I think it’s a pretty noble way to help other people even from the other side of the grave.

You’ve misunderstood me. I know “Team” is not always evil, but, if you look at the Villain Pikachu line, there’s no non-criminal Team-affiliated Pikachu to be found. Because, technically, Aether Foundation is not considered a criminal Team, there is no Aether Pikachu.

Parents (mini-fic).

- Well, that’s it for today! - said cabinet minister Alva, closing the old book. - Your majesty, your homework - assemble the levi-drone and program it to avoid obstacles during the flight on determined path. Next lesson will be in two days.

- Understood, minister Alva! - happily responded prince Raleigh. The cabinet minister gave him a smile, left the prince’s room and headed for his own one, slowly drifting in his thoughts...

"Why they can’t spend more time with me?” - asked young Alva himself, slowly reading “Introduction to Arcane Science”. - “Am I less important to them, than arcane researches? Or...”

- Happy birthday, Alva! - said Ogden, giving his son a present. - Sorry for so little time, but, as you know, our salary...

- I know and I understand you, - replied boy, slowly unwrapping the package. - Wait, is it...

- Yes, it is, - proudly said Nancy. - “Young arcane researcher’s first kit”.

- But it’s so expensive... How much... What... Why...

- Alva, you’re our son, - announced both Ogden and Nancy at the same time, - and we want you to be happy. About money... It’s not that important. Again, forgive us from spending so little time with you, but...

- Thank you so much... - responded the young boy, who was on verge of crying. As he knew, this kit costed nearly thrice the dad’s salary, so, they should’ve either started saving money no less than few months ago, or overwork. From what it looked like, it was the second cause. And they did this just because they’ve wanted their son to be happy...

- Prince Raleigh, why are you crying? - gently asked cabinet minister young prince, who was silently sobbing in the far corner of the library. - If it makes you feel better, I promise, that I won’t tell it to anyone.

- Dad... I’m not sure if he still remembers that I exist, - angrily whispered boy. From what it looked like, he just couldn’t keep it in himself anymore. - Sister loves her jetbikes more than her own brother... And mom, the only one, who loved me...

Raleigh couldn’t see it, but Alva’s grip on the staff became harder. His parents may’ve spent too little time with him, when he was child, but, at least, they’ve truly loved him and wanted their son to be happy.

- My condolences, prince Raleigh, - said cabinet minister, looking at the book, which was placed on table before prince. - You’re interested in the arcane science?

- Yes, and what? - harshly replied boy, showing, that his closest relatives didn’t share this kind of interest.

- Nothing special, prince Raleigh, I’ve just wanted to say, that I’m an arcane researcher and can provide help in it to you, if you want it.

- Really? - asked Raleigh, looking at cabinet minister with hope in his eyes.

“Just how alone is he?” - asked Alva himself, while giving a smile to prince and saying:

- Of course.

- Great work, but there are some mistakes, - said Alva to Raleigh, checking his homework. For more than year now, Alva was pretty much giving free private lessons in arcane science to young prince and, from what it looked like, neither king nor Kimia cared. - Looks like we need to perfect your math first!

- If we need it, I’ll do my best! - responded Raleigh whole-heartedly. As Alva has understood, he was pretty much the only friend of young prince, his closest men... and that the plans about overtaking kingdom needed to be re-written. Raleigh may never know it, but he was the one who deeply softened the cabinet minister’s heart and prevented a chain of planned political assassinations.

“When we overtake the kingdom, you will be the one, who will bring it might and prosperity, and I... I’ll help you do it,” - thought Alva, looking at young prince’s work and explaining him his mistakes.

“From what it looks like, I’m more of a parental figure to Raleigh, than the king,” - finished his chain of thoughts Alva, putting the staff aside, taking the place in the chair, pressing the “Door lock” button on the remote, opening the drawer and taking an old photo from it.

Team ISP (Specific Impulse). This Team, unlike many others, does not want to get anything on Earth - quite opposite, in fact, they want to get AWAY from it! Their main reasoning for that is that too much weird and dangerous shit is happening there (and, to be fair, it kinda is - just look at the games and anime!), so, it’d be better, if civilization thrived in more than one place. As long as it inhabits a single planet, a single star, it can be extinguished instantly at doings of a few madmen.   Quite a bit of their research and development is spent on creating a colony ship, sufficient to get everything, needed for building the civilization anew, to another planet (or even another star) in one go. This Legendaries this Team seeks out are those, who can help them with their goal - Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma, although they have plans for slower-than-light travel, should it fail.

The Flight Director (leader) of Team ISP is Robert Phillip Eugen Charles von Korolyov. His second-in command (admins) are Control Officer Gary Truax  and Flight Activities Officer Robert Koelle. One of the problems with this Team is that they kinda... lack appropriate care at how damaging the start of their colony ship is going to be. Even the basic version, with Zubrinov’s mass conversion torch engines (based on researching the Guzzlord), can easily damage the ecosystem with their crazy exhaust (53 megatons of TNT equivalent per second). Quite ironic of them, indeed, but, even though they are aware of that, the events in the world make them constantly “adjust” their priorities, with the one about the minimizing the collateral damage of the launch going lower and lower.

Their Pokemon are mostly space-themed, with Flight Director having Deoxys and two Celesteela in his team, whil the Flight Activities Officer has a Rayquaza, in addition to non-Legendaries.

If you were to design an evil team for Pokémon, what would their goal be? What would you name them?

I’d like an “evil” organization of scientists who want to restore the earth to how it used to be before pollution, deforestation, global warming, and the extinction of plants and Pokémon. The only problem is that they’re going about it by stealing fossils from museums, maybe under the guise of a break in, but in reality some of those within the organization work there.

They could be called Team Revitalization.

The legendaries are brought back from fossils. Maybe if the region was based in Greece or Egypt they could be a griffin and/or basilisk. Maybe when they’re brought back, they go berserk in this new world they don’t understand, and go about trying to destroy everything in their path.

Can you give a link to this early concept? And about Palace’s propellers speed - probably, creators just wanted to save money on CGI and used only a few animations for the Flying Palace.

Pokedex flying machines entry

“I always thought that Flying Palace (Hikokyuu) uses some sort of anti-gravity propulsion and propellers are just for setting course (ring-mounted change altitude, wall-mounted propells Palace horizontally), and anti-gravity modules are this giant vertical things between outer rings and central building, one of which serves to heroes as slide after the Palace crash.”

Ooh, thank you! Though the propellers seem to be fixed in place no matter the direction the ship is going.

To be honest? It’s hard to say, what’ve got me interested in Jirarudan, but his charisma and cool airship definitely have something to do with it.

By the way, when we were discussing warfare and weapons, I’ve forgot to mention, that corporations produce heavy weaponry, deploy aircraft carriers, armed satellites and such as a part of theirs doctrine of a guaranteed retribution, which I’ll explain later. By the way, one of the reasons, why they’ve started to partially replace their’s seaborne aircraft carrier fleets with airborne ones is, to quote a future chapter, “At least you can see what the heck is coming from below and strike back.” (this speaker means agressive water Pokemon, which are well-known for sinking ships, and the fact, that AAC’s have point defence system weapons at all sides, including bottom, to ensure coverage from all directions).

Now about technology - unlike rest of the world, General Industries and Tunguska Technologies (TungusTech) prefer NOT to use Pokemon as much as possible. Where police will order Machamp to break the wall, corporate special task force will use a breaching charge, deploy a heavy assault exoarmor (think of a power armor from the “Starship Troopers” book, only less nukes and flight and more frontal firepower) or even the armorsuit (essentially, small mecha, most of which are slightly shorter than the AMP Suit from the “Avatar” and pack a lot of a firepower along with good melee abilities). Where normally Machokes will be unloading the cargo, corps will use some kind of a power loader, often fully automatic. Where most of people will use Pokemon for one thing or another, corporates will try and replace it with technology.

The true reason for it is because they are afraid of Pokemon, which, unlike the technology, can (and, according to theirs most pessimistic views, will) betray humans, not counting Legendaries and Mythicals, to most of whom humans are nothing more than a toys/pests/mere nuisances. For corporates, any Pokemon (aside from the Magikarp with Everstone and such) is essentially a bomb, which can easily go off at any moment. They also remember history of Pokelantis, when Ho-oh’ve destroyed entire kingdom and murdered thousands of innocent people just because king was an asshole. That’s why they are so happy about fusion nukes - it’s currently their’s best option to be able to strike back at the high-grade Legendaries and, possibly, kill them (bioweapons, which will be able to seriously injure or/and kill high-grade Pokemon (including biological-body Legendaries and Mythicals) without harming humans, are still in the very early stages of development). So far, they’ve never used any fission or fusion weaponry, but they’re always ready to do it, if necessary.

Unlike in the most of the megacorp portrayals, these two corps value humanity’s well-being and survival above everything else, so they have no problems with hiring Pokemon hunters (Hunter J’ve got even recruited into the General Industries agents, not without some help of a blackmail), giving some data to the Teams, so they’ll do dirty job for corps (like secretly providing Cipher with information of the proto-Shadow Pokemon so they’ll, basically, research it for corps (although no one from Cipher, excluding several corporate agents, knows it), while TungusTech and GI are keeping Orre region in the sights of a WMDs in the event of Shadow project going a little too well) and such, if this means gathering more data about the Pokemon weaknesses and, therefore, more abilities for humanity to safely live along with them and to strike back in the event of something going really bad.

The key element in the corporate philosophy, when it comes to Pokemon (especially high-grade Legendary ones), is paranoia. They’ll never really trust anyone they won’t be able to kill and who’ll be able to cause a major harm to humanity (of course, corps value live of theirs employees somewhat more than lives of the non-employees, but any human live for them is, in general, more worthy than those of Pokemon), although they may play along to ensure best outcome for humans, but they’ll always search for the ways to kill those which they can’t kill yet (and be ready to use it as an argument or even backstab with it as soon as it’s available/necessary). However, that also means, that they can more-or-less easily establish normal two-sided dialog with Latis, Shaymins and another non-insanely-powerful Legendaries/Mythicals, because they are not, well, doomsday-powerful, can be (relatively) easily killed and, therefore, aren’t a real threat to humanity.

So far, one of the corporates most dangerous weapons are so-called “retribution vehicles”. They look like some non-armed satellites (most of them are disguised as a telecommunication or surveillance satellites), they work like these satellites, but inside, they house a fusion warhead (ranging from 10Kt to a 6 Mt of TNT equivalent, depending on series). To add to this, all of the corporate satellites have rocket engines to de-orbit if necessary: officially, it is done to be able to prevent Kesslers Syndrome without usage of additional devices (and it is 100% true for all of theirs non-armed and even some armed satellites), but in reality, this was done so the retribution vehicles would be no different externally from the normal satellites and theirs emergency de-orbiting won’t cause any additional suspicions until it’s too late and the warhead goes off, annihilating everything in the decent radius.

For now, the retribution vehicles are part of the “Final Solution” program and are to be used in the event if nuclear WMD is required, but nothing else can be used. They’re not something to use first, they’re only to be used if things are going really bad. No retribution vehicle so far was deorbited, except for the test unit with a dummy warhead, which’ve landed precisely in the designated test area (which was located in the middle of ocean, to prevent suspicions) and have proven that the retribution vehicles are viable solution to the nuclear weapons deployment problem.

I’ve based the retribution vehicles on the real Fractional Orbital Bombardment System, except the retribution vehicles are launched at the normal satellites orbits and stay on them, working as a telcom/surveillance satellites for as long as necessary.

@mgrgfan let’s talk ships. So, we both seem to be in agreement that the Hikoukyuu is for the most part fully automated. Though how it would land…you do propose an interesting idea, but that would suggest either that all landing pads are specifically built for that one ship or that there are other nearly identical ship out there.

If we only got his airship as well...

Did anyone ever question how weird it was that the villain of Pokemon the movie 2000 was criticized for “collecting” Pokemon? Misty even screams at him that it’s “terrible” and Pokemon aren’t meant to be collected.

Like…what? Isn’t the catchphrase for the show, “gotta catch ‘em all?” Clearly we’re not catching “'em all” for battling purposes. Pokemon are literally MEANT to be collected but this guy was a villain and when Team Rocket legitimately tries to mass capture WILD POKEMON, which are technically open season, they’re accosted and stopped as though that’s justice. Why can’t they capture wild Pokemon again, Ash? No wonder they’re just like, screw it then, we’ll steal yours.

I’m pretty sure I’d be ostracized in the Pokemon world for my obsessive shiny collecting. Shame on me for collecting Pokemon and not forcing them into battle or whatever, Misty. I guess kicking your Psyduck’s ass on a daily basis is what GOOD trainers do.

Weird dream is weird... yet again.

Several weeks ago, I’ve had another weird dream. Again, it was more-or-less random, though this time it was kinda “justified” by me loading “saves” in it. Among many scenes, which include flying helicopter in Airstrike 3D-like dream game, dealing with someone in warehouse on the second “playthrough” (I knew this time warehouse will be flooded, so I’ve took diver goggles. Don’t ask, it makes sense in context) and such, but there was one even weirder moment.

After loading one of the “saves”, I’ve found myself in some sort of clinic with eqiupment looking like it was from... later 80′s I think. In one of the rooms, there was an old man, who was giggling and such and looked like a little loony. On the table near his bed, there were several albums with rough drafts and blueprints. When I’ve took one of the albums, I’ve found it was mostly filled with my own drawings (and I’m pretty bad in it. Like, really bad.), but among them, there were this man’s drafts and even sort of blueprints for, guess who? Magearna! Even more, this man, for some reason, was calling her “quartz grandma”. Сould it be Nikola, who was somehow sent back in time into the Ancient Soris Empire and had gone crazy? Who knows.

I was thinking about pre-movie Jirarudan, when Hikokyuu still was only a dream, but post-movie Jirarudan could’ve bribed nearly everyone (he can get money by selling objects, which’ve survived crash landing, even if this is painful, because he can recover them later, even if by dirty means) into cleansing his reputation and start saving money for a new, more advanced airship, which’ll be far better in every aspect, especially in weaponry and internal security system.

Took the Tomodachi Life personality quiz for Jirarudan and he ended up with Confident Designer and told he should have an office and a lab coat.

……what.
