Every time an attractive black or poc character gets introduced into Marvel, fans who are of the same race and/or culture as them has to deal with ignorant white authors taking that character and writing the most blatantly offensive and whitewashed fanfics.
There’s no reason why Namor is speaking Spanish instead of his own native language. It’s not that difficult to do your research and it’s clear y’all have no problem doing it when it came to Thor or Loki. Y’all don’t even bother hiding it yet get defensive when someone points it out. Since we’re on this topic, lets not act dumb about his dislike for white people and the LOW chance of him having a white partner like bffr…
Lastly, we need to be VERY careful on how Namor is written and not play into stereotypes that’ll harm his character (and also Tenoch himself) in the long run. Y’all don’t seem to know (nor care) how dangerous it is to have him being written as the “aggressor” pursuing the “naive and innocent” white girl.
Shut out everyone else. Stop replaying other peoples opinions in your head. What do YOU want to do? How do you WANT to do it?
Why the fuck are you doing something you don't like
Henry: We got crossed, performed an ancient rite, and killed a guy.
Richard: Ok but did y’all fuck?
pretending i’m camilla macaulay as i write my 7,000 word essay on women in ancient greek mythology for my EPQ
Give me more Butch Camilla Macaulay please god please please please please. She shares her brother's clothes! She has a "boyish" haircut! Give me Camilla in tweed shorts and a shag mullet!! It's what she would have wanted, goddamnit.
does anyone have any idea why the greek class actually went to Francis’ lake house or was that just something they did sometimes? Richard mentions them being there when it first snowed, during Henry’s birthday, but he was just randomly invited one weekend? And then him and Charles talked about not wanting to go back to Hampden so I was thinking it was over the span of something like a thanksgiving break but I would think Richard would mention that.
shoutout to my two favorite people from missouri: chappell roan and henry winter
nanami mhm mhm yeah yes mhm mhm
Really powerful to me that truly Richard is closer to every Greek student besides Camilla despite his fixation on her—and in the end, the thing he has most in common with her is that they both were in love with Henry
