John’s arc throughout Malevolent honestly sort of hits me as a Trans person, and while that could be said for a lot of stories revolving around identity, his in particular has specific beats that I think adds to this sense of relatability.
The idea of choosing a name for yourself, the expectations and pressure of other people, people recognising you as a completely different person to who you feel you are, seeing you as someone you’re not anymore, telling you who you are, what your name is, no matter how much you say otherwise.
That question of what is the right way to do this, and everyone you speak to has a different answer, leaving you confused.
I don’t exactly know where I’m going with this, mostly just scrambled thoughts! Sometimes being trans is relating to an Eldritch horror’s identity struggle, truly.
the weird thing about having a horror podcast as a piece of comfort media is being sad and going "you know what would make me feel better? listening to that traumatized British man read out people's deepest fears and horrible experiences! that will cheer me up!" and then it WORKS.
If you could choose to be either the voice inside someone's head or the one with the voice in their head, which would you choose?
Oooo this is such an interesting hmmmmm
It’s tough, i think i would kill it at being a voice in someone’s head, getting to say the craziest shit and be as annoying as possible. HOWEVER, if its an arthur and john situation i think i would probably go a little bit bonkers just being bored whenever they were sleeping (or in a coma lmao)
In terms of practicality i think i’d choose to have the voice in my head because i (presumably) get to keep at least some of my bodily autonomy and have the added bonus of some bitch in my head yelling at me aside from my brain
Greetings ladies and entities, I come to thee in search of aid. I am looking to get into the business of making animatics, and possibly actually start learning real animation too if I’m feeling ambitious
The problem is I don’t really know where to start and its incredibly overwhelming looking for tutorials and stuff. I also have the motivation and attention span of a boiled pea, so I was hoping anyone could give me pointers/recommendations on how to get started
Please i have. So many ideas that have been intensely rotting my brain for months now and i fear they will drive me quite mad if i cannot get them created
Alright thats that
I'd love to commission you but I don't wanna DM you without knowing approximately how much it'd be first. Just because I don't want to waste your time if I can't afford it rn. So I might wait for your com sheet to come out first, if that's cool!
No worries! I dunno what you have in mind ofc but generally my highest price is like $45 for a fully lined, colored and rendered piece (this can change depending on added characters but i will put that info in the sheet!) and then flat colors and lineart pieces are lower than that
But I totally understand if you wanna wait for the comm sheet and i will do my best to get it done soon as i can :)
I think it's time for us as a fandom to acknowledge that Arthur is not smart
He might be clever (quick thinking, observant, creative), but not smart
They/He, adultCeaseless yapper, turn your hyperfixation on these wretched podcasts
