Howdy folks, the Senate will be considering the first ever resolution blocking arms to Israel. This is huge and historic; it would block government contracting and about $20 billion in arms and support. This is an uphill battle, PLEASE urge your senators to support S.J.Res114-115. This is maybe the most important piece of legislation relating to Palestine that we have ever gotten and we must seize this opportunity.
This doc has information on the resolutions and their process, as well as sample messages and a phone script you can use. Please, use this moment to hear witness for your neighbors.
Urgent help
I am Ola Ferwana from Palestine ,Gaza. I'm a mother of 3 kids Yamen, Qusai and Mira. My husband travelled to Egypt to get medicines before 2 days of the war 7 of October on Gaza and he was stuck in Egypt until this moment.
I faced very great challenges and responsibilities of my three children in the absence of my husband, as he had traveled and the crossing was closed and we could not see each other. The amount of suffering I was feeling cannot be described as still being in the north of Gaza.I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. I have left my home and have been displaced more than 8 times with my children. I am living in the war_torn region of Gaza, facing unimaginable challenges, with lack of water, food scarcity, and constant threats to their safety.
This is our street of my house, the Israeli occupation damaged all the houses.
I have delivered a girl baby,Mira , through the war, She was 10 months old and my husband didn't see her until this moment.
Yaman was 7 years old, and his simplest dream was to complete the first grade at school, but his school was completely destroyed. He lost the most beautiful thing that he was happy with and enjoyed that he had reached this stage.
Qusai is 5 years old, and until this moment I do not have the courage to tell him that his kindergarten was also destroyed, the first place and refuge in which he was happy, but in this war he lost everything beautiful. He lost his fatherβs hug, which was his only refuge when he slept at night, telling him his daily story to fall asleep safety.
Mira, my daughter, who had never seen an hour or a moment devoid of fear, came into this world and was surprised by a war that destroyed many, many things. It destroyed her house and her room, which I was waiting for as I prepared and brought her all the beautiful clothes and colorful dresses she needed. She was surprised by the sound of missiles. She could not sleep because of it. My husband hopes to get a smile and a hug from her daughter Which he had been waiting for some time.
We lack of the basic human needs, no food no electricity no water. We were poisoned and infected because of the unhealthy water that we drink.
My three children and I had to be hospitalized. We suffered from liver dysfunction as a result of malnutrition, widespread diseases, and recurring infection.
During this period, I felt remorseful about how difficult it is for a mother to see her children sick and unable to treat them because she is also very sick.
The Rafah border crossing, which is the only way to escape from the war, is closed now.
I hope to provide us by giving support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage of Egypt through the borders. Please stand with me, we are now homeless, with absence of children needs like milk, diapers, with no food. Please help us by donation to stay a live and leave Gaza with my children. If it is opened, I can't go to Egypt as I don't have the money because my husband is the sole breadwinner for my family.
Thank you for your kindness, empathy and generosity during this challenging time. With sincere thanks and warm regards,

fahed and reem are the parents to five children. the prolonged attack on gaza and subsequent destruction of everything they've known has forced them to fundraise, but the oldest, sahar (@fahedshehab9), has been making videos to help spread the word. the thought of a young girl advocating for her family's survival in front of the world is as heartbreaking 10 months into cruel bombardment as it was on october 7, october 6, 2023, 2014, 2008, and every single day since 1948 when palestine was first shattered.
this is the current progress of their fundraiser. sahar has done a wonderful job spreading the word so far, but as of posting, they still need β¬18,634 to meet their goal.
please help her and her family by sharing, reposting with the link, and donating what you're able!
EDIT (AUG 29): due to circumstances explained below, the goal has been increased to include her aunt and her family. please continue to donate and share!
"Gaza now has the largest population of child amputees in the world." [@/abrahammatar on X. June 5th, 2024.]
Dear friends,
I am writing to you today with heavy hearts and hope in your compassion. My name is Doaa, I am 25 years old, and I live in northern Gaza with my husband Basel and our three children: Osama, Kinan, and Zain.
Since the beginning of the war, our lives have become unbearable. Bombs began falling on our homes, causing severe damage and forcing us to leave. From that moment on, we have had to move multiple times within Gaza in a desperate attempt to find a safe place. Unfortunately, each move has exposed us to further attacks, resulting in injuries to me and our children on several occasions. π
Since the war began, we have gone from a secure and stable life to a dire situation. We once lived in a stable home with a decent living, but now we have no home or shelter. Every day, we move from place to place, sleeping in streets and ruined houses, searching for something called safety, even though it doesnβt truly exist. ποΈπ
The pain and loss we have endured since the start of the war are indescribable. We have lost my parents, three of my siblings, their spouses, and their children. My husband has also lost his parents, siblings, and their families. With our home destroyed and my husband losing his job due to the war, our situation has become unbearable. π’π
The children, who are our hope and future, are suffering greatly under these conditions. They have lost the most basic rights, such as education, as they can no longer attend school. They are also deprived of the essential medical care they need during these difficult times. They have no security or home to turn to, leaving them in a constant state of anxiety and instability. πΈπ
The cost to leave Gaza is $5,000 for adults and $2,500 for children, in addition to other living expenses that we cannot afford. π΅
We appeal to you with humility and a plea for your kind hearts. We urgently need your support to cover the travel costs and secure a safe future for our children. Every donation, no matter how small, will be a beacon of hope in these dark times. ππ
Please share this appeal and our campaign with anyone who can offer assistance. With your help, we hope to find a way out of this nightmare and secure a better future for our children. πποΈ
With deepest sorrow and hope,
Dua and Family

The first TTMAB fanart ever!!! Done by my (inactive) moot in 2020! I reconnected with them on Instagram through one of their moots and they dug it up for me! I lost this drawing years ago and thought Iβd never see it again so I REALLY appreciate them finding it! Their redesign heavily influenced my current TTMAB!Luna design:) this feels like a dream come true!!!
βGaza is not the most beautiful of cities. Her coast is not bluer than those of other Arab cities. Her oranges are not the best in the Mediterranean. Gaza is not the richest of cities. (Fish and oranges and sand and tents forsaken by the winds, smuggled goods and hands for hire.) And Gaza is not the most polished of cities, or the largest. But she is equivalent to the history of a nation, because she is the most repulsive among us in the eyes of the enemy β the poorest, the most desperate, and the most ferocious. Because she is a nightmare. Because she is oranges that explode, children without a childhood, aged men without an old age, and women without desire. Because she is all that, she is the most beautiful among us, the purest, the richest, and most worthy of love.β
